Tana Ramsay, 51, reveals she suffers from a health condition as a result of years of 'baking' in the sun - and insists she NEVER asks pal Victoria Beckham for freebies

Tana Ramsay has revealed she suffers from a skin condition as a result of years of 'baking' in the sun with husband Gordon. 

Speaking in The Times alongside daughter Tilly, 24, the duo shed light on their beauty favourites, secrets and regimes, during which the mother-of-five, 51, admitted she has warned her children against the perils of skin damage.

She admitted that after years of sunning herself with the chef, 59, she now has melasma, a skin condition of adults in which brown or greyish patches of pigmentation (colour) develop, usually on the face'. 

Now going down the far healthier fake tanning options, Tana, who admits she now never leaves the house without her £82 SPF50, revealed her favourite product is the sold-out foundation drops made by her best pal Victoria Beckham. 

When asked if she fast tracks her way to nabbing the product, she insisted: 'I don't like doing that. You just wait until it's in stock and buy it properly.'

Tana revealed that she has one resounding piece of advice for her daughter - to stay out of the sun, due to the perils of what she previously went through. 

Now a devout user of The Dayscript: a single, dermatologically designed formula that replaces multiple steps in your morning routine, including SPF and primer, she admits she will no longer take the chances like she used to. 

Revealing the moment she discovered the news, she said: 'Gordon and I used to bake. Now I have melasma. I'll never forget going into a pharmacy and the woman behind the counter asking what the stains on my face were.' 

The British Skin Foundation defines a melasma as: 'Melasma is also called 'chloasma' and 'pregnancy mask.' It is a common skin condition of adults in which brown or greyish patches of pigmentation (colour) develop, usually on the face.'  

She then revealed her love of her pal's The Foundation Drops with TFC8, ringing in at £104 - yet admitted she would not ask for freebies. 

Tana said: 'They're sold out at the moment. I don't like doing [asking Victoria for freebies]. You just wait until it's in stock and buy it properly.' 

The Ramsays have been in the news of late thanks to daughter Holly's high-profile - and widely scandalous - wedding to OIympian Adam Peaty. 

The wedding was overshadowed by an ugly family dispute that led to Adam's own mother, Caroline, being barred from the service.

Caroline was left devastated when she was disinvited to her son's wedding in November after a feud erupted over her not being invited to Holly's hen do.

Last week, Holly gushed over how 'special' it was to have her mum, Tana, reading her favourite bible verse at her wedding to Adam.

It comes after Gordon's latest tribute to his daughter Holly's new husband Adam has sparked claims from fans it will 'break his parents' hearts.'

Among a string of tributes to his new son-in-law, Gordon left a comment to Adam and his new wife Holly under a post shared by the Olympian.

The post included snaps from the couple's pre-wedding celebrations, with Holly revealing her siblings even gave a speech ahead of the big day.

Under the post, Gordon commented: 'Beautiful ❤️ love you both Dad @hollyramsaypeaty @adamramsaypeaty.'
