The official reveal of the year's first batch of Game Catalog additions to PlayStation Plus is imminent, but we may already know what to expect. The monthly free games for January have already been revealed (Need for Speed Unbound, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Core Keeper) and are available to claim until February 2, but we're still waiting to see what is in store for Extra and Premium members via the ever-rotating selection of the Game Catalog.

This month's Game Catalog newcomers will be revealed on January 14, according to French magazine Dealabs. Prior to the official announcement, however, the publication (translated via browser) claims to already know the full line-up, which includes big hitters Resident Evil Village and Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Dealabs – and more specifically, editor and writer known online as billbil-kun – is extremely reliable when it comes to PlayStation Plus leaks, correctly predicting which titles are coming to the service on a regular basis.

According to the leak, the full PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup for January 2026 is:

  • Resident Evil Village
  • Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth
  • Expeditions: A MudRunner Game
  • A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead
  • The Exit 8
  • Art of Rally
  • Ridge Racer (PlayStation Plus Classics)

It's a strong and varied month all around, but the first two are clear standouts. Resident Evil Village is the more action-packed follow-up to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, which began the classic survival horror series' foray into first-person. Village is the perfect primer ahead of Resident Evil Requiem's release in February, which has been positioned as a culmination of sorts for the series' many disparate plot lines thus far.

In recent years, developer Ryu Ga Gotoku has been on a tear with its classic series, and there's no better evidence than Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, one of the best RPGs of 2024. It's the second game in the series to star Ichiban Kasuga, but takes a huge swing by abandoning the series' typical Japanese setting and instead taking place in Hawaii. Ichiban's games have been widely celebrated for grafting traditional JRPG gameplay, including turn-based combat, onto modern urban areas.

RE8 and Infinite Wealth are likely to steal the show for PlayStation Plus in January, but it's a great month for the Game Catalog. Expeditions: A MudRunner Game is an off-roading simulator centered on exploration, and Art of Rally puts a different spin on driving with top-down rally racing. A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead brings more survival horror into the mix, with a story set within the film series' continuity, and The Exit 8 will add more uncertainty via its bizarre setting in liminal spaces.

Original PlayStation classic Ridge Racer will only be available to Premium subscribers, and Dealabs alludes to the fact that there may be more retro titles coming alongside it. There's no shortage of games to play via PlayStation Plus, but January 2026's Game Catalog additions will be hard to ignore. Resident Evil Village and Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth are two huge titles for subscribers, and if the leak is correct, are sure to please users.
