PlayStation Plus has finally dropped its new games for the Extra and Premium tiers. While big names like Resident Evil Village and Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth are understandably getting a lot of attention, there are 9 games to choose from. And if you're looking for something quick to beat, then one of the new games is definitely for you.

As revealed by the official PlayStation Blog, 9 new games arrived on PS Plus on January 20, 2026. These run the gamut from horror like A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead to puzzle games like A Little to the Left. Some of them can run long, like Infinite Wealth, which is easily a 50-hour game. But if you're not looking for that kind of commitment, then give The Exit 8 a try instead.

The Exit 8 Can Be Beaten In 1 Hour Or Less

The Exit 8 is a self-proclaimed walking simulator where you're trapped in an underground passageway and must find your way out, through the titular Exit 8. You basically continue down the corridor, looking for discrepancies and investigating them. If you find something, you'll want to turn back. But if you don't, then it's a sign to keep going until you reach your destination. And trust me, it can get pretty unsettling.

The Exit 8 wasn't designed to be a long game. Most people who've played it can beat it in under an hour (you can check out HowLongToBeat for times), but even completionists can see everything in 60 minutes. If you're only focusing on the main objectives, or replaying The Exit 8, then you can breeze through it in 40–45 minutes pretty easily.

A Lot Of New Games Are On PS Plus Right Now

The Exit 8 is great if you're looking for a quick game to finish in a single setting. If that isn't your ideal gaming session, though, PlayStation Plus has added a bunch of new games to its line-up in January 2026. Other games, like Cult of the Lamb and SaGa Frontier Remastered, are leaving PS Plus soon, so you may want to check them out before they're gone.

If you're looking for something fresh and none of the games mentioned previously sound interesting, then new additions like Art of Rally and Expeditions: A MudRunner Game may be more your speed. Both joined PS Plus on January 20 alongside The Exit 8.

No matter what you're into, there should be a new game that looks interesting. But if you don't want to commit a lot of time right now, then consider checking out The Exit 8 while it's on PlayStation Plus. It's an easy way to kill an hour and worth trying.
