Jardyn 'Pee Wee' Walker, a contestant on the dating reality show Two Ways with Erica Mena, was found shot to dead in St. Louis this week at the age of 23.

Walker was one of the men and women who appeared on the series last year to compete for the affections of Mena, a video vixen and alumna of Love & Hip Hop.

He was reported missing Tuesday night after he failed to meet with his sister at an appointed time to give her a ride home, prompting the police to begin a search.

The authorities were able to track his pinging phone to an alley, where he was discovered dead of gunshot wounds, per the local NBC affiliate KSDK

Prosecutors have now charged one Jamaal Lamonte Jones, 27, with first-degree murder, felony evidence tampering and armed criminal action.

Jones had been stopped by the authorities Tuesday night with an assault rifle between his legs in the passenger seat of his sister's car, the authorities claim.

The suspect was held without bond in the St. Louis City Justice Center, and his mugshot has surfaced in the wake of his arrest.

According to St. Louis police spokesman Mitch McCoy, officers responded to the report that Walker was missing at approximately 1am Wednesday.

Walker had been working that night as a delivery driver and was last seen Tuesday evening in the University City area of St. Louis.

He was supposed to meet his sister at the Amazon Hazelwood plant that night in order to give her a ride home, and when he did not materialize at the set time, she reported him missing to the University City Police Department.

The police say they tracked his pinging phone to an alley in the Central West End, where Walker's car was found and he himself was discovered shot to death.

Local resident Roxane Maurer said she awoke to 'all of these red flashing lights on my bedroom wall' as the emergency services arrived in the area.

She noted that crime appeared to take place in the alleys, but characterized her neighborhood as a safe one in general, saying: 'I’ve lived in my current house for 11 years and I have never had anything happen to me,' via Fox 2.

A shots fired report from around 8:45pm Tuesday was linked to the case of Walker's death, ultimately leading to the arrest of the suspect.

When the authorities arrived at the scene of the shots fired incident, they caught sight of a car speeding off and apprehended it about a half a mile away, at which point they were confronted with the sight of Jones in the passenger seat, the police said.

Jones allegedly had an assault rifle between his legs and - per the charging documents - shell casings in his pocket that were unearthed by a post-arrest search.

Court documents assert Jones confessed to firing the gun and claimed to have been 'in fear of his life,' at a time when the police were unaware someone had been shot.

According to the probable cause statement, Jones' brother was detained and questioned by homicide detectives Wednesday morning and said both Jones and Walker had been at his apartment the previous night.

Mitch McCoy, the St. Louis police spokesman, said Walker's visit to the apartment was a personal matter rather than a delivery stop.

Jones' brother claimed to have been sitting in his bedroom Tuesday evening when he heard gunshots as Walker was exiting the apartment, whereupon he - the brother - went into the living room and found it empty.

It is alleged that Jones then ran back into the apartment carrying the assault rifle, only to leave again in his sister's car, according to his brother.
