Lacey Cohen is a lifelong student, writer, editor, music fanatic, and massive advocate for the Oxford Comma. She has been playing guitar for 16 years, boasts a 13-year-old Spotify library complete with playlists for just about any mood, and is well-versed in the language of nearly every genre of music. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in English and a minor in gender and health, and she graduated from Long Island University with an MFA in creative writing and publishing with a focus in prose writing. Lacey is currently based in Brooklyn, but she is a true and proud Michigander at heart.

As any music lover knows, there is simply nothing better than a music festival. There are hardly any culturally-centered events that trump the scope of festivals like Coachella, and playing on the main stage at festivals like Ultra or EDC Orlando is any DJ's biggest dream.

From punk rock's Riot Fest to hip-hop's Rolling Loud, nearly every genre of music has at least one major festival that their fans can look forward to and save up for each year. Jazz, of course, is no different, except in that its heritage and history might be richer than any other genre, and is deeply tied to the culture of New Orleans, making the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival the biggest moment for the genre, and probably the second-biggest moment for the city, second only to Mardi Gras, of course.

With the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival set to take place from April 23rd to May 3rd this spring, the countdown is on, and, more importantly, the stage is set. Personally, I don't think I've ever seen a lineup more enticing than this one—this is easily my dream festival.

The Eagles, Stevie Nicks, Rod Stewart, And More Headlining The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is poised to be potentially the biggest festival of the year, with artists from nearly every decade since the 1970s, spanning any number of genres. The ten-day festival will see massive performances from some of the biggest names in music history.

Headlining the festival are The Eagles, Stevie Nicks, Rod Stewart, Kings of Leon, Lainey Wilson, Teddy Swims, Lorde, and Jon Batiste, and that's just the first line of the official lineup poster. Festival-goers can also look forward to sets from the legendary Ziggy Marley, David Byrne, the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Earth, Wind & Fire, Herbie Hancock, Alabama Shakes, and Raye.

The list of A-List performers is seemingly endless, so much so that the curators for every other music festival this year definitely have their work cut out for them. Tickets are on sale now, and will probably go fast, especially after this lineup announcement. Check out the complete lineup of performers, as well as more information surrounding the food, crafts, and culture of the festival at NOJazzFest.com.
