Khloe Kardashian Reveals How Her Family Handles Money-Splitting Costs
MrBeast may actually have the least.
The world’s most-subscribed-to YouTuber (real name Jimmy Donaldson) revealed that despite his $2.6 billion net worth on paper—due to owning more than half of his $5 billion company Beast Industries, according to Fortune—his bank statements are shockingly low.
“It’s funny talking about my personal finances, because no one ever believes anything I say,” Jimmy told The Wall Street Journal in an interview published Jan. 2. “They’re like, ‘You’re a billionaire!’ I’m like, ‘That’s net worth.’ I have negative money right now.”
The 27-year-old added, “I’m borrowing money. That’s how little money I have. Technically, everyone watching this video has more money than me in their bank account if you subtract the equity value of my company, which doesn’t buy me McDonald’s in the morning.”
That’s all to say, if you put his debts aside, Jimmy does have some money on hand. He previously said he keeps less than $1 million in the bank and explained why that’s the case.
“I’m just so busy working I don’t really think about my personal bank account,” he continued. “I’m just laser-focused on making the greatest videos as possible, and building the business as big as possible.”
Despite his relative frugality, MrBeast does allow himself to splurge every now and then. Indeed, he even once flew across the world to see his fiancée Thea Booysen, who he proposed to on Christmas Day 2024.

“She was studying in the U.K. and I really wanted to see her,” he explained, noting he doesn’t live near a major airport in North Carolina. “One time I was like, ‘Screw it. I'm just gonna rent a private jet and fly to her because I really want to see her.’ But if I don't rent a PJ, I literally just can't make it work.’”
“A PJ flight is eight hours, whereas, commercial it'd be like 19 there and back,” Jimmy explained. “It's like so much wasted time, and that was probably, like $150,000.”
But while the YouTuber felt “so bad,” he reasoned away the guilt, sharing, “I just really wanted to see my fiance, or at the time, my girlfriend.”

Ariana—who inked her first brand deal at age 14—knows it can be lucrative, saying, “You can get paid astronomical [amounts] to do a story or do an Instagram post, and I made quite a bit of money.”

The YouTuber—who boasts over 430 million subscribers on the platform—shared that he had become a billionaire "on paper" in February 2025.
However, he explained that he mostly doesn't keep that money for himself.
"In my actual bank account, I have less than a million dollars," he explained during an appearance on the Diary of a CEO podcast at the time. "I just like to reinvest it all."
As of January 2026, he shared he has "negative money," despite his estimated $2.6 billion net worth.

"I'll make bacon in the morning and make $50,000," Jeffree told the Cancelled podcast in November 2024. "There's some times where I don't sell at all, and I'll just make bacon in my kitchen, in my bathrobe, in my little slippers, we'll just hang out and I'll just chat and I'll do a Q&A."
Other times, he's making bank by offering discounts on his own branded makeup products.
"It's a niche market but it's massive," he added. "We're the No. 1 or 2 beauty store."
