Ashton Kutcher offered a rare public insight into his feelings about his ex-wife Demi Moore, more than a decade after their marriage failed.
The former couple started dating in 2003 and exchanged vows two years later, igniting a whirlwind of publicity over their 15-year age gap, only to announce their separation in 2011 and finalize their divorce in 2013.
Moore, 63, included a scathing appraisal of their romance in her 2019 memoir Inside Out, accusing Kutcher of repeated infidelity and claiming she broke her sobriety of 20 years after he said: 'I don't know if alcoholism is a real thing.'
However three years ago, she starred in a cheeky AT&T ad with Kutcher's current wife Mila Kunis, who joked onscreen that the two women had 'a lot in common.'
Now Kutcher himself has heaped approbation on Moore, praising her Oscar-nominated turn in the 2024 body horror movie The Substance.
'I mean, one, Demi's performance in The Substance, obviously she got extraordinary accolades. I'm so proud of her. She killed it,' he told Entertainment Tonight.

The Substance came up in the interview because of comparisons being made between the movie and Kutcher's upcoming Ryan Murphy show The Beauty.
Murphy's latest series revolves around a sexually transmitted disease that first makes patients beautiful but later results in malign symptoms.
The illness comes to light after supermodels start inexplicably dropping dead, leading to an inquiry by FBI agents played by Evan Peters and Rebecca Hall, via FX.
Meanwhile The Substance starred Moore as an aging actress with a floundering career who creates a younger version of herself played by Margaret Qualley by taking an illegal drug, with the two bodies having to switch consciousness every week.
When Kutcher and Moore were together, their romance was a subject of constant mockery because of the more than decade-wide age difference between them.
After he separated from Moore - but before they were divorced - Kutcher started dating Mila Kunis, 42, whom he had previously starred with on That '70s Show.
Kunis and Kutcher married in 2015 and have welcomed two children into the world, their daughter Wyatt, 11, and their son Dimitri, nine.
Four years later, Moore published her explosive memoir Inside Out and recounted the story of her marriage to Kutcher in blistering terms.

She accused him of having been unfaithful to her twice and alleged that they had a pair of threesomes, writing that she was 'addicted' to him.
The A Few Good Men actress also recalled that she fell off the wagon after she suffered a miscarriage while six months pregnant with Kutcher's baby.
Moore had been 20 years sober but resumed drinking to cope with her loss after Kutcher said: 'I don't know if alcoholism is a real thing,' she claimed.
As Moore embarked on a publicity tour for the book and her claims about Kutcher circulated, he addressed the matter on Twitter.
'I was about to push the button on a really snarky tweet. Then I saw my son, daughter, and wife and I deleted it,' he wrote the day Inside Out was published.
He struck a more conciliatory tone a year later, insisting there was 'no badness' between him and Moore and adding that although they 'don't hang out,' he remained in contact with her daughters by Bruce Willis, on WTF with Marc Maron.
Moore has retained a famously friendly bond with Willis, who was her previous husband and the father of her three children, Rumer, 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31.
She and her daughters rallied around Willis, 70, his current wife Emma Heming, 47, and their daughters Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, nine, amid his dementia decline.
