Landman season 2's finale marked a massive change for Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) and his closest kin after he was fired as M-Tex Oil's President by Cami Miller (Demi Moore). Cutting a deal with drug kingpin Gallino (Andy Garcia), Tommy formed his own oil company and hired his family and friends.

With Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone franchise seeking new glories with various spinoffs, Landman has emerged as the prolific writer-producer's biggest hit on Paramount+. The Landman well is in no danger of drying up, and the Norris family is poised to make a fortune in the Patch when they return for their third season.

Landman Is Renewed For Season 3 By Paramount+

Paramount+ renewed Landman for season 3 in December 2025, just a few weeks after Landman's season 2 premiere set records. In its first two days alone, Landman season 2's premiere racked up 9.2 million views, a 262% increase on season 1's premiere. Globally, Landman season 2 ranked as the third most streamed series among all streamers in November.

As tbe biggest Paramount+ Original series in history, renewing Landman is a no-brainer. Landman seasons 1 and 2 premiered in November 2024 and 2025, respectively, and it's likely that Landman season 3 will also target a November 2026 premiere.

While it's not yet known when Landman season 3 will start filming, season 2's spring and summer production for a late fall premiere would be a logical schedule to follow. Landman premiering a new season annually also makes it unique among streaming shows, which can often take 2 years between seasons. The reliability of Landman is part of its appeal to viewers.

Landman Season 3 Returning Cast

Landman season 2's cast is expected to return for season 3. Unlike Jon Hamm's character death at the end of Landman season 1, no major characters were killed off in Landman season 2's finale. Perhaps the only question mark is whether Demi Moore will continue to play Cami Miller, but Cami's story with M-Tex hasn't been fully resolved.

Along with Thornton, Moore, Elliott, Garcia, Larter, Lofland, and Randolph, Kayla Wallace, Paulina Chavez, James Jordan, Colm Feore, Mustafa Speaks, Caleb Martin, and Dougie Hall all look to be returning given who will be part of Tommy's new oil company.

Landman season 3 will no doubt add more characters, but season 2's new faces like Francesca Xuereb as 'physical therapist' Cheyenne and Bobbi Salvör Menuez as Paigyn, Ainsley's nonbinary roommate at Texas Christian University, should also be back.

Landman Season 3 Story Details

Landman season 3 will no doubt be about the problems with starting up Tommy Norris' new oil company with the ridiculous name of CTT Oil Exploration and Cattle. Tommy and Nathan (Colm Feore) also promised Cami Miller they would sell M-Tex for her, while Gallino's business investments with both Cami and Tommy may not be smooth sailing.

In addition, Ainsley Norris (Michelle Randolph) will attend college at Texas Christian University, while the Norris family will likely celebrate Jacob's wedding to Ariana (Paulina Chavez) in Landman season 3. As for Angela (Ali Larter) and Tommy, they might also dive into their second marriage to each other in Landman season 3.
