Evoto Officially Responds To The Controversy

2 hours ago 2

When the photo editing software Evoto created software so good that it made photographers obsolete, their user base began to revolt and rumors started to fly. I went directly to Evoto to get the truth.

I'm not going to summarize everything we spoke about in the video interview, but the bottom line is that Evoto has not and will not ever steal their users photos to train an AI model, and their AI headshot generator was not anything proprietary, it was simply using Google's Nana Banana model that is available to the public and available in Photoshop as well.

Evoto admits they messed up, especially with their marketing of this "tool," but they have deleted it and will not bring it back.

But of course that doesn't really matter because the real "tool" is Google's massive AI model that has already been trained on every image currently on the internet. Photographers, especially headshot photographers, will be competing directly with this type of technology from now on.
