Bella Hadid's VERY gory scene in The Beauty leaves viewers stunned as they rave over 'crazy' new Hulu series

The new Hulu body horror series The Beauty kicked off with a bang — literally — with its premiere on Wednesday night.

The newest series from co-creator Ryan Murphy opened with a breathtaking scene starring Bella Hadid as a model who begins to suffer the gruesome and ultimately fatal side effects of an experimental drug while she's in the midst of walking the runway at a fashion show in Paris.

On social media, viewers shared their shock at how the 29-year-old model met her gory end just minutes into the 'crazy opening scene' of The Beauty's pilot episode, which was released along with the series's next two episodes.

The series, which was created by Murphy and Matt Hodgson, stars Evan Peters and Rebecca Hall as a pair of FBI agents tasked with investigating a mysterious drug that gives users stunningly chiseled features and toned physiques by rewriting their DNA.

But the drug — a product of a corporation run by a shady billionaire (played by Ashton Kutcher) — can also be transmitted sexually to others as a virus — and its effects include stomach-churning side effects that are ultimately fatal.

Hadid's buzzy opening scene begins with the real-life model walking at a grungy fashion show in Paris that's held inside what looks like a warehouse with a runway of mud that the models trudge through.

At first, the scene looks like many other shows Hadid has walked in, and she highlights her svelte figure with a cropped red leather jacket and a matching pair of high-waisted leather pants that showcase a hint of her flat midriff.

But she suddenly becomes distracted and looks around as if something has gone wrong.

The model then jumps over a mound of dirt and accosts one of the front-row spectators.

Hadid grabs the woman's bottle of water and chugs it before pouring part of the bottle on herself.

She makes an animalistic grimace as she grabs another person's water bottle and also downs it.

But the model appears to have lost her mind, and she begins brutally attacking the spectators for no obvious reason.

The water bottles don't appear to have satisfied her needs, so Hadid runs outside and assaults a group of paparazzi standing by their motorcycles.

She grabs one photographer's helmet and begins bashing him in the head with it repeatedly, before she takes off on his bike. 

But Hadid's joyride is cut short when she collides with a car and goes flying off her motorcycle.

The camera pulls back to reveal what looks like life-threatening injuries, as he leg has been sliced open with a deep gash, while her arms are bent in unnatural ways.

But Hadid suddenly gets up and hobbles on her mangled leg into a nearby cafe, where she spies bottles of water on the counter. 

She drinks them wildly and splashes all over herself, but as soon as a waiter moves to throw her out, she attacks him and begins assaulting the diners.

The berserk model smashes one man's face down into his plate, while she stabs another through his hand with a fork.

As the patrons rush out of the restaurant in shock, Hadid stumbles to the bathroom, where she plunges her head into the toilet bowl before letting out a scream as it doesn't seem to offer the relief she's looking for.

As she leaves the bathroom, one diner who had a concealed handgun orders her not to move as he aims at her. But she snarls and continues advancing, so he fires repeatedly into her chest.

The bullets don't seem to do anything to slow down Hadid, who grabs the man's gun and then repeatedly smashes it against his head.

Now that the restaurant is deserted, she steps out into the light to find that an army of police officers have arrived in riot gear.

As one officer orders them to aim their rifles at Hadid, she suddenly stops, and a change comes over her.

Hadid's eyes darken, and a small stream of blood begins to leak out of the corner of one eye.

The runway model's rampage comes to an abrupt stop when she suddenly explodes with the force of a bomb.

Her body is transformed into a mass of blood and viscera that splatters the horrified police officers.

The scene understandably shocked and delighted viewers, who took to social media to share their reactions.

Several new fans were amazed that The Beauty would open on such an intense note. 

'#TheBeauty is hitting really hard right now. I love it,' wrote on person on X (formerly Twitter). 

'Wow... so we're just really going hard straight out of the gate!' wrote another user. 

'That was quite an opening!' enthused one viewer, while another wrote, 'Man #RyanMurphy's latest creation #TheBeauty puts its foot on the gas from the GET GO and does NOT LET UP!!!'

Several posters were amazed that Bella Hadid's character was dispatched so quickly — and in such a gory manner.

'Ummmmm Bella Hadid did her big one in this opening sequence — WOW!' one amazed viewer wrote.

Some users didn't seem to know what they were getting into, including one who wrote, 'Turned on a random show on Hulu and Bella Hadid explodes on the screen within 5 minutes.' 

The early reaction to the high-octane pilot was primarily positive on social media.

'Already liking this show,' one fan shared, while another added, 'Ooo this is pretty good so far.'

The first three episodes of The Beauty are now available to stream on Hulu and Disney+, and subsequent episodes will be released on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
