Saturdays are for… drat, look at the time! I shouldn't be writing an article. I should be loading boxes into vans. Frantically disassembling furniture. And stopping the friends who are 'helping' me move house from pausing to sip cups of tea. It's like they don't know how long I spent on the phone to the council booking parking permits. No, I couldn't possibly tell you. Well, twist my arm. 45 minutes.
So, if you're curled up in bed having a relaxing morning, I envy you. But know that I'm in that blessed window where I can 'accidentally' lose all the personalised mugs and t-shirts I've been given as presents over the years. You know, the ones the gift giver is always asking after or expecting to be on display. This is a window that only opens once every few years, and with both hands I'm throwing 'Boyz on tour mugs' out of it.
While I might not be playing much this week… What was that crash? Never mind, I didn't like that plate. While I might not be playing much this weekend, this is what the rest of the team are up to.

I'm about a month and a half into my STALKER 2 renaissance and I'm still playing it almost every day. I am liable to make future What Are We All Playing entries equally repetitive. I am sorry.

More Pathologic 3 and Terra Invicta for me this weekend. My life is either a conspiracy or an epidemic. But wait, what's this? I feel a mysterious urge to play... Labyrinth of the Demon King. So either a conspiracy or an epidemic or a haunted house. Let's, er, try to do a 3D platformer next, Edwin.

With whatever time I get, there’ll likely be more Crusader Kings 3, where my Scottish dynasty now has a weird co-monarch thing going on thanks to succession being a bit quirky. Also, I’ll plough on with that refresher run of Yakuza Kiwami 3.

Most of my game time this weekend will be dedicated to a top-secret embargoed project that I can’t talk about just yet, but if there’s any left over, I’ll be hitting the backlog. I still need to finish Metroid Prime 4. Plus, The Seance of Blake Manor had me lodged in its vicelike grip over the holidays, and it's forced my alter-ego, Digital Columbo, out of retirement for yet another string of detective games. I picked up Daemon Masquerade the other week, which looks like a spooky version of The Roottrees Are Dead. Hopefully it’ll satisfy my urge to look at a big pinboard of connected evidence while scratching my chin and vaguely muttering “It don’t make a lick of damn sense…”

Years back, while everyone else was off playing Left 4 Dead or something, my brother and I played Mass Effect 3 multiplayer for our daily fix of wave-based shooty-shooty shenanigans. Well, we recently felt the pull of that game again, so strongly in fact that we decided to buy a new copy of the game each so we could start the multiplayer progression from scratch. No unlocked characters, no guns, no overpowered Krogan or Geth Juggernauts to help us. It's been just as fun today as it was when it came out.

I tell a lie. I did install Moving Simulator on my Steam Deck. See it as a little side-by-side comparison.
Jeremy
Jeremy is still away. He probably thinks he's forgotten about his welcome back to work handshake. I haven't.
And you, reader dear, what are you playing this weekend?
