For reasons unknown, he enjoys analyzing box office receipts, giant sharks, and has become known as the go-to man for all things Bosch, Mission: Impossible and Christopher Nolan in Collider's news division. Recently, he found himself yeehawing along to the Dutton saga on the Yellowstone Ranch.
He is proficient in sarcasm, wit, Photoshop and working unfeasibly long hours. Amongst his passions sit the likes of the history of the Walt Disney Company, the construction of theme parks, steam trains and binge-watching Gilmore Girls with a coffee that is just hot enough to scald him.
His obsession with the Apple TV+ series Silo is the subject of mockery within the Senior News channel, where his feelings about Taylor Sheridan's work are enough to make his fellow writers roll their eyes.
Taylor Sheridan’s TV empire has officially gone global. The prolific creator behind Yellowstone and its ever-expanding universe is no longer just an American cable phenomenon — he’s now a full-blown international streaming force. As of this week, four Sheridan series are sitting inside Paramount+’s global Top 5, a milestone that confirms his brand of gritty, morally messy drama travels far beyond U.S. borders.
The lineup is stacked: Landman, Tulsa King, and Mayor of Kingstown are all streaming on Paramount+ worldwide, while Yellowstone — the crown jewel — continues its unusual but wildly effective split distribution strategy. In the United States, Yellowstone streams on Peacock, while internationally it’s available on Netflix and Paramount+, helping audiences to giddy up and dispose of their enemies.
What’s remarkable isn’t just the number of shows — it’s the consistency. Sheridan isn’t landing one-off hits overseas; he’s exporting an entire tone. Power struggles. Broken institutions. Antiheroes operating in moral gray zones. Whether it’s oil fields, prisons, organized crime, or ranch land, the themes are hitting the right note no matter the setting.
How Good Is 'Landman'?
Collider’s review of the series stated that Landman Season 2 shows cautious signs of improvement but still struggles to fully distinguish itself within Taylor Sheridan’s crowded TV empire. Billy Bob Thornton remains the show’s strongest asset, anchoring the series with a cynical, steady performance, while Demi Moore emerges as a standout new addition, bringing emotional depth and complexity largely absent from Season 1. Andy Garcia’s cartel-linked newcomer adds intrigue, and new plotlines offer higher stakes. However, many characters remain static, limiting momentum. While the first three episodes suggest more promise than before, the season’s ultimate success depends on whether meaningful growth actually follows:
"Season 2 of Landman is ultimately showing signs of more promise after its first three episodes, with Moore already delivering a strong performance for a complex character. While Garcia's still at the "mysterious character with hidden motives" point in the series, his presence is also clearly felt. Between his inclusion and a big new narrative for Cooper, there are considerable opportunities for raised stakes, character growth, and fresh drama. It's impossible to say what Landman's true trajectory will be this season, but it's already a bit closer to a well that hits than it was the first time around. Now, it just has to stick the landing."
Yellowstone is streaming on Peacock in the United States, and on Netflix and Paramount+ internationally. Landman, Tulsa King, and Mayor of Kingstown stream on Paramount+ worldwide.
