The Australian Open has been absolutely heaving with celebrities this year, as the prestigious tennis event attracts A-listers from around the globe. 

Leading the charge in Melbourne on Sunday was Pia Whitesell, who left her American talent agent husband Patrick Whitesell at home, but brought her son, Isaiah Loyola. 

The actress stunned in an upmarket ensemble, including a checked jacket over a fitted deep brown top. 

She added a pair of wide-leg trousers in a soft beige tone, as well as strappy black heels. 

Her strapping 22-year-old son matched his mum in an all-beige ensemble consisting of a dress shirt and cotton trousers.

The jacket also matched the beauty's shorts, which ensured that her trim pins were on show. 

The stunner finished her look with a pair of black heels with micro straps, and largely skipped the accessories but for her diamond ring.

On-court seating at Rod Laver Arena can run as high as $20,000, with the popular spots already sold out.

Celebrities seen in that section include Australian AFL WAG Bec Judd, Scottish actor Gerard Butler and Jaggad co-founder Michele Greene.

Other stars turning up at the tennis over the last few weeks include American actress Chloë Grace Moretz, K-pop star BamBam and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. 

Also attending were TV star Carrie Bickmore, Balinese princess Lindy Klim and Aussie singer Delta Goodrem.
