2026 is a big year when it comes to Avengers releases, and one of them will feature Spider-Man, with Marvel having already confirmed how Peter Parker will look. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is the main ongoing franchise in terms of Marvel adaptations. Finally, the Multiverse Saga will debut the first new Avengers movies since 2019's Endgame in the next two years.

Avengers: Doomsday's cast includes the return of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers and Robert Downey Jr., now playing Doctor Doom. Despite several MCU stars being announced to appear in the film, many are still missing, such as Tom Holland's Spider-Man. However, Marvel fans are guaranteed to at least see a version of Peter Parker in an Avengers release in 2026.

Marvel Has Revealed What New Avengers Special's Spider-Man Looks Like

While the MCU rages on, Marvel continues to offer a nice variety on the small screen. Not every animated Marvel series is directly connected to the MCU. Some of them are through the multiverse, like Marvel Zombies, while others are standalone franchises, such as X-Men '97. One of the latter is a new Avengers franchise for a younger generation.

On October 16, 2025, Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team-Up! was released. The animated Avengers special is a crossover event for young fans of two Marvel series. Those projects are Spidey and his Amazing Friends, which recently returned to Disney+ with new episodes in its fourth season, and the show's spinoff, Iron Man and His Awesome Friends.

Marvel movies and TV shows are coming to Disney+ in January 2026, helping kickstart the comic book giant's new year with a few exciting projects.

After the first Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team-Up! special, the animated Avengers team will return in 2026 for a Halloween episode. In the animated series, Spider-Man dons a version of the character's classic costume from Marvel Comics. Peter Parker wears a red and blue Spider-Man suit with eyes that emote and visible silver web-shooters on his wrists.

How The New Avengers Special's Spider-Man Compares To Other Versions Of The Marvel Hero?

 Brand New Day

Given that the animated Avengers special uses a version of Spider-Man's classic costume from Marvel Comics, it is quietly similar to Tobey Maguire's Spidey suit, Andrew Garfield's The Amazing Spider-Man costume, and Tom Holland's final Spider-Man: No Way Home suit. That said, the eyes that emote are something only the MCU Spider-Man is known for in live-action.

It is the perfect design for an animated Marvel project. The sleek suit and classic feel make for a vibrant Spider-Man costume that looks good in the fluid action scenes of Spidey and Iron Man: Avengers Team-Up!. Marvel has revealed Tom Holland's Spider-Man: Brand New Day suit, and it looks close to what Peter dons in the Avengers project.
