Lori Loughlin 'extremely angry' with Mossimo Giannulli as new living arrangements are revealed after split

Lori Loughlin is said to be grappling with intense residual feelings following the public reveal of her split from husband Mossimo Giannulli.

News broke in early October that the couple had decided to go their separate ways after 28 years of marriage, with a friend alleging the actress uncovered ‘incriminating’ texts and emails on Giannulli’s phone.

Another source later claimed the breakdown was fueled by lingering fallout from the couple’s involvement in the infamous college admissions scandal.

In 2019, it emerged that Loughlin, 61, and Giannulli, 62, paid a fixer $500,000 to fraudulently present their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose, as elite rowing recruits to secure admission to the University of Southern California.

Though they initially denied wrongdoing, both ultimately pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges, with Giannulli serving five months in prison and Loughlin two.

Now, the drama appears far from over, with the actress said to be ‘extremely angry’ at the fashion designer as new details reveal the former couple has been living ‘separate lives’ since announcing their split, according to People

Daily Mail has not received a response to its request for comment from reps for both Loughlin and Giannulli.

'Lori is still extremely angry with him,' a source told the outlet of the estranged exes.

Since parting ways, Loughlin, 61, and Giannulli, 62, have lived 'separate lives,' according to a second source.

Despite the lingering tension, a third insider suggests the feeling is not mutual.

'He thinks she’s a lovely person and an incredible mom,' the insider says of the fashion designer.

The source adds that Giannulli is eager to avoid further conflict.

'He wants everything resolved quietly.'

When their separation first became public, Loughlin’s representative told the Daily Mail that she and Giannulli were ‘living apart and taking a break from their marriage’, adding, ‘There are no legal proceedings at this time’.

Around the same period, the actress was spotted outside LA's Bird Streets Club, where she was seen sharing a hug with actor James Tupper, her former Great American Family co-star and Anne Heche’s one-time partner.

That same day, Giannulli was photographed browsing shops in Beverly Hills alongside 32-year-old stylist Hannah Harrison.

Harrison later pushed back on any romantic speculation, telling Us Weekly that their outing was purely professional and the result of ‘bad timing’.

‘I went to the [G/FORE Supply] store not knowing that his separation had been announced. I was going there to meet him,’ she said, stressing that they were ‘good friends’.

The pair were later seen arriving together at West Hollywood nightclub Zouk in November.

Despite the public sightings, a source has said the former couple remain ‘friendly’ and ‘don’t hate each other’, describing the split as ‘more amicable than people think or would expect’, with Giannulli even reportedly ‘invited’ to Loughlin’s family Christmas.

Still, the insider added that the Full House alum and the fashion designer ‘are living separate lives and figuring out next steps’, noting, ‘Divorce looks like it’s the future’.

On 20 October, Loughlin’s former Full House co-star John Stamos opened up about her split from Giannulli on the Good Guys podcast.

‘She put up with a lot over the years of this guy,’ Stamos said.

‘She’s just devastated. For a girl who has lived her life really well, a good person, a good mother, a good wife — I know all this for a fact — to be thrown into now this separation and, you know, exploding, blowing up her family this way... I just hate to see her go through this. I really do.’

Loughlin and Giannulli’s split reportedly follows years of tension in their marriage and was partly influenced by the fallout from their daughters’ college admissions scandal.

Her publicist confirmed in early October that she had separated from Giannulli after 28 years of marriage.

The New York-born actress and the fashion designer share two daughters: Isabella ‘Bella’ Rose, 27, and Olivia Jade Giannulli, 26.

‘They are living apart and taking a break from their marriage,’ Loughlin’s representative Elizabeth Much told the Daily Mail at the time. ‘There are no legal proceedings at this time.’

Professionally, Loughlin’s legal troubles kept her off screen during Fuller House’s fifth season, though she returned in late 2021 for a two-part Christmas special of the series When Hope Calls.

She made her first post-scandal red carpet appearance in June 2022 at RJ’s Place for the DesignCare 2022 Gala, benefitting the HollyRod Foundation.

Reflecting on the ordeal in April 2024, Loughlin told First for Women magazine how she navigated the life-changing events.

‘I try to be a forgiving person,’ she said. ‘I’m not one to hold onto stuff. Stuff happens to everyone.

‘We’ve all been in positions to ask for forgiveness but to ask for it, you have to learn and know how to give forgiveness, too.’

She added: ‘My family wasn’t one to hold grudges. I didn’t grow up in a household where if you made a mistake, you weren’t forgiven.’
