Kesha commands attention in wacky gown adorned with giant flowers as she goes barefoot on red carpet at MusiCares Person of the Year Gala ahead of 2026 Grammys

Kesha ensured all eyes were on her as she arrived at MusiCares' 2026 Person of the Year Gala on Friday night at the Los Angeles Convention Center, in a bold and attention-grabbing look.

The singer, 38, turned heads as she stepped out in a nude gown covered from head-to-toe in voluminous fabric flowers in an array of pink, white and orange shades.

She was almost hidden from view beneath the enormous bouquet as she posed up a storm, taking her wacky outfit one step further by ditching her shoes to walk the red carpet barefoot.

Kesha was one of several A-list artists to perform at the Gala to honour pop icon Mariah Carey, who was crowned the Person of the Year by MusiCare.

And she swapped her bold and wacky red carpet dress for a much more revealing and sexy look as she took her turn on the stage.

The Praying hitmaker showcased her incredible figure in sheer sequin minidress, flashing her black underwear and bra underneath.

Kesha added leather knee high boots and a pair of tinted aviators as she belting out a rendition of Mariah's 2009 hit, Obsessed.

While she later sported the same look to hit another star-studded event on Friday night, adding a trendy faux-fur jacket as she arrived at Epic Records and Hennessy's Grammys bash at the Sunset Tower Hotel.

Mariah was honoured for her decades-long career and charitable work during the glitzy Grammy weekend gala.

Other performers to celebrate her legendary catalogue on the night included Jennifer Hudson, Charlie Puth, Busta Rhymes and the Foo Fighters.

Several tributes earned rave reviews, including Adam Lambert’s emotional take on Can’t Let Go and Teddy Swims’ powerhouse rendition of Without You.

Even Stevie Wonder made a surprise appearance, telling Mariah: 'The greatest thing about you and I is we have respect and love for each other.'

Babyface, SZA, Richard Marx, Rita Wilson, Kim Burrell and Gayle King appeared as presenters throughout the night.

Mariah accepted the honour to a standing ovation, joking she was 'surrounded by so many friendly and familiar faces - people I’ve worked with, people I’ve long admired, even people I thought I’d never see again.'

Reflecting on the moment, the pop star said: 'Receiving this honor is one of the most profound moments of my life and career. 

'Tonight has been sublime. To hear my songs reimagined by some of the world’s greatest artists - it’s surreal. 

'When I was a little girl scribbling lyrics in my notebook late at night, I could only dream of someone hearing those words and relating to them. 

'Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be here with all of these magnificent artists singing my songs back to me, infusing them with their own artistry and giving them all new life. This has given me life, and I appreciate you so much.'

Mariah was celebrated for her 'extraordinary creative achievements and dedication to philanthropic causes, while raising vital funds to support the health and well-being of the music community.'
