Helen Flanagan has shed light on her feud with her former Coronation Street co-star and on-screen boyfriend Ryan Thomas.

In her new book Head & Heart: Break-ups, Breakdowns and Being Rosie, the actress, who played Rosie Webster on the soap from 2000 to 2012 before a year-long return in 2017, she detailed how she clashed with the star, who played Jason Grimshaw.

Speaking about their spat, she revealed her frustrations stemmed from many sources, including the fact that Ryan was 'grumpy' and 'never knew his lines'.

The Celebrity Big Brother star played Jason on the soap from 2000 up til 2016 and despite their romance on-screen they clashed away - although Helen conceded that as time has gone on they have formed a friendship.

In the autobiography, she penned: 'Me and Ryan Thomas, weren't on the best of terms in real life either – we used to clash something chronic, mainly because he would be dead grumpy in the mornings and never used to know his lines!...

'I probably needed to lighten up a little bit, but he once told me outright that he didn't like me and I told him to f*** off (mature of me).'

In the quotes seen by The Sun, she continued: 'Over the years since, however, we've moved in similar circles and become quite good friends and I've got a lot of time for Ryan and his brothers, Adam and Scott. They're good lads.'

Elsewhere in the book, she revealed that she and her on-screen sister Brooke Vincent dated the same Man City player - before her doomed relationship with Scott Sinclair.

Before meeting her now footballer ex Scott, Helen had a brief romance with Man City star Reece Wabara while shortly after they fizzled out Brooke went on to date him.

She wrote: 'I dated a few guys off and on although they never developed into anything significant. I went out a few times with a Manchester City youth player called Reece Wabara who – and this is too funny – Brooke later ended up going out with.

'We were never serious and I didn't sleep with him but there was one night he took me back to his lodgings after we'd been out in Manchester and his furious landlady kicked me out. 'Er, you're not going upstairs young lady,' she said. Dead!'

They reunited in 2022 having put their differences aside

She went on to say he was 'gorgeous' but that thinks quickly fizzled out before claiming he was 'a ladies' man anyway.'

Helen went on to be in a relationship with Scott. They have three children Matilda, 10, Delilah, seven, and Charlie, four. But they split in 2022 after 13 years together.

Earlier this week sources claimed that Scott had decided Helen had to move out of the £1.5M six-bedroom home they previously shared after communication between them 'completely broken down'.

And last week, Helen begged followers to stop sending her messages about Scott following their feud taking a dramatic turn.

She cut a low-key figure when she stepped out on Thursday in Bolton

Taking to her Instagram Stories, she shared a video insisting she 'didn't care' about her former fiancé and wanted fans to stop contacting her about him.

The star said: 'I've been getting messages as well, quite a lot of DMs about the whereabouts of the father of my kids'.

'Please, I really don't care. No one needs to DM me and tell me his personal business. I'm spared of that now'.

The house, which is in Scott's name, was put on the market last year, and it's now thought that he believes Helen needs to move into a smaller property as he wants to stop paying the maintenance.
