The show is set to air 6 episodes in its first season, with the following entries released weekly, every Sunday. 2026 is the year of Game of Thrones spinoffs, as House of the Dragon season 3 will also be released this year, arriving in the summer.

However, its tone is very different from that series, as the new HBO release explores Westeros with some levity. While Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon focus on the characters who control Westeros, both politically and militarily, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms does away with that, taking the action to the streets of the continent.
