Credit: Sue Andrews/Cover ImagesAbout two years before Peaky Blinders premiered, Cillian Murphy starred in this critically disappointing sci-fi movie led by Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried. Released on October 28, 2011, In Time received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the premise while slamming its execution; that still didn't stop the movie from earning $174 million, more than four times its $40 million budget. Nor did it stop fans from flocking to revisit it years later as it recently resurfaced on streaming charts following its New Year's addition.
Within the first week of the New Year, In Time joined the top 10 most-watched movies on Peacock in the US, a list that Bugonia has since led. However, as of this writing, the sci-fi film has gotten to the ninth spot on the chart, meaning it is unfortunately just one step away from getting kicked out. In addition to the stars mentioned above, Vincent Kartheiser, Olivia Wilde, Matt Bomer, Johnny Galecki, and Alex Pettyfer were featured in In Time.
For those who are yet to check out In Time, the 36% RT series is set in a future where time is money and the wealthy can live forever, and in it Will Salas (Timberlake) is a poor man who rarely has more than a day's worth of life on his time clock. When he saves Henry Hamilton (Bomer) from time thieves, Will receives the gift of a century. However, such a large transaction attracts the attention of the authorities, and when Will is falsely accused of murder, he must go on the run, taking the daughter (Seyfried) of an incredibly wealthy man with him.
