Jujutsu Kaisen is about to introduce one of the strongest Sorcerers in the entire franchise, so why isn't he considered Special Grade? Special Grade Sorcerers are the strongest in Jujutsu Society, and there are only six of them: Ryomen Sukuna, Satoru Gojo, Yuta Okkotsu, Suguru Geto, Kenjaku (because he occupies Geto's body), and Yuki Tsukumo.

These characters aren't just stronger than First Grade Sorcerers: they're in an entirely different league. If that's the qualification for being Special Grade, then there's one character that absolutely deserves to be considered Special Grade, and it's criminal that he isn't.

Kinji Hakari Is Going to Light the Anime on Fire

Jujutsu Kaisen's Special Grade in the making Kinji Hakari

Kinji Hakari is going to be one of the best characters in Jujutsu Kaisen the second he's introduced. He's monstrously cool, has one of the most captivating Cursed Techniques in the franchise, and even has the same voice actor as One Piece's Roronoa Zoro.

Satoru Gojo even said that there are only two characters in Jujutsu Kaisen that could rival him in strength, and Hakari is one of them. He's an enigmatic character that doesn't care much about the power structure of Jujutsu Society, and his overwhelming strength in battle is why he can get away with it.

Hakari is going to play a major role in the upcoming Culling Games Arc, and his abilities are going to help Yuji and Megumi massively. If he's such a behemoth on the battlefield, why isn't he considered Special Grade?

It's Wild That Hakari Isn't a Special Grade Sorcerer

Hakari from Jujutsu Kaisen

There are two main reasons as to why Kinji Hakari isn't considered a Special Grade Sorcerer: he doesn't have the offensive output that characters like Gojo have, and the higher-ups at Jujutsu High hate him. Whether or not he's considered to be Special Grade doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, but his omission is glaring at best.

Hakari is away from Jujutsu High at the moment because he got into a physical altercation with a higher-up. He's considered a delinquent by the conservative decision-makers in Jujutsu Society, but his attitude has nothing to do with his astounding abilities.

Yuta Okkotsu said that Hakari's Cursed Technique, at its peak, is stronger than anything he's capable of. Hakari is also the single luckiest character in Jujutsu Kaisen, and when it comes to his Technique, that matters a lot.

Yuji Itadori is closing in on Special Grade status, but Hakari is already there. He has every right to be considered Special Grade, and he's going to make a great case for himself the second he debuts in Jujutsu Kaisen's unreal third season.
