Before Warner Bros. becomes part of Netflix, giving the streaming giant access to DC Studios, one superhero animated series from the franchise has already entered the streaming giant. Teen Titans Go! is an animated TV show set in the DC Elseworlds universe, with 9 seasons and over 400 episodes, thus making it the longest-running show in Cartoon Network history. While the streaming giant doesn't have all the episodes available in its library, now is the time to see what makes this show a hit.

Netflix currently hosts the first five seasons of Teen Titans Go!, featuring over 100 episodes of adventures led by this superhero team. Teen Titans Go! premiered in 2013 and is considered a stand-alone spin-off of the 2003 Teen Titans cartoon. The show follows a team of young superheroes, featuring Robin (Scott Menville), Raven (Tara Strong), Starfire (Hynden Walch), Cyborg (Khary Payton), and Beast Boy (Greg Cipes). But unlike the early 2000s cartoon, this series is more comedic and has featured other DC heroes, such as the Justice League.

Despite its multi-season run, Teen Titans Go! received a poor reception from audiences, earning a 47% score on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it received numerous accolades, including multiple Kids' Choice Awards nominations for "Favorite Animated Series," and has won "International Animation" at the 2019 British Academy Children's Awards. It also received a feature film called Teen Titans Go! To The Movies, which came out in 2018 and generated $52 million worldwide.

Other DC Elseworlds Projects That You Can Watch Now

When James Gunn and Peter Safran took over DC Studios in 2022, they introduced DC Elseworlds, a label for projects that aren't part of the main DC universe and don't contribute to the DCU's continuity. One of the titles placed in this subsection of the DC franchise is Teen Titans Go!. Still, other DC shows and movies in DC Elseworlds are now available to stream on HBO Max and other platforms.

One of them is Joker, directed by Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck, aka The Joker. The film serves as his origin story; he was a party clown with dreams of becoming a stand-up comedian, but eventually becomes an anarchist in Gotham, where rioters and other criminals praise him. Another is Matt Reeves' The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson as The Dark Knight. This superhero film not only spawned a sequel that's currently in the works, but also a TV series called The Penguin, with Colin Farrell reprising his role as this Batman villain. Also included in DC Elseworlds is the Harley Quinn animated series, starring Kaley Cuoco. This five-season show follows the adventures of Harley and her allies in Gotham and, most recently, Metropolis, while also showcasing Harley's journey of self-discovery as she's no longer in a relationship with the Joker (Alan Tudyk) and enters a new one with Poison Ivy (Lake Bell).

Teen Titans Go is available to stream on Netflix.
