The Naruto and Boruto franchises are known for some incredibly dark jutsu. From Tsukuyomi trapping people in a nightmare world to Impure World Reincarnation bringing the dead back to life, ninjas are capable of some truly dark arts when they set their minds to it.
The most dangerous of these jutsu are given the label of Kinjutsu, or Forbidden Techniques. These can be abilities that either cross some sort of ethical line in the sand or simply carry too much potential for damaging the user if done improperly.
One of the darkest jutsu in Naruto isn't forbidden at all, and it took until Boruto: Two Blue Vortex for the technique's horrific potential to finally be recognized.
Boruto Confirms The Monstrous Potential Of a Ninja No One Thought Twice About
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex's latest storyline has put Shikamaru's status as Eighth Hokage in danger. The Fire Daimyo has been suspicious of Shikamaru and suspects he's working with Boruto (who has been framed for killing Naruto and Hinata), leading him to send out a man named Kudo to interrogate the Eighth Hokage.
Fortunately for Shikamaru and the rest of Konoha's ninjas working with Boruto, they have the nearly omniscient Koji Kashin as backup.
Koji gets Inojin to use the Mind-Body Swap Jutsu on Kudo, buying Shikamaru time. When Inojin, as Kudo, goes outside to catch some air, Koji drops a bomb; they need to kill Kudo. Though Inojin is hesitant, Koji suggests the young ninja make Kudo jump off a roof before returning to his body.
Ino Always Could Have Ranked Among Naruto's Deadliest Ninjas
Though Ino is rarely mentioned among Naruto's deadliest and strongest ninja, this is more due to her supporting role in the story rather than her canon abilities.
As Boruto: Two Blue Vortex shows, Ino is fully capable of executing targets with little effort. The Mind Body Switch Jutsu does require some setup, but that's something her teammates Shikamaru and Choji could easily assist with.
Even in official Naruto canon, Mind Body Switch is already God Tier
Even in official Naruto canon, Mind Body Switch is already God Tier, allowing Ino unparalleled access to information and intelligence gathering.
Unfortunately, many of the bigger threats Konoha faces in Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden would likely be immune to Mind Body Switch due to their willpower.
It seems unlikely at this time that Inojin will actually go through with killing Kudo, but the possibility that he could proves just how dark many of the underrated ninjas from Naruto and Boruto could be if they threw their morals away.
