Britta DeVore is a Senior Author for Collider who has been known to dabble with Reality News as well.

Have you seen stories about 'Chucky,' 'Scream,' 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer,' 'The Boys,' 'Vanderpump Rules,' or any of 'The Real Housewives' franchises? That's probably a Britta DeVore-curated piece of art, and it sounds like you have great taste.

When she isn't sitting behind her laptop bringing readers her hot takes on upcoming projects or keeping the dream alive in the Senior News team, Britta can usually be found outside hiking or inside behind her drum set. She currently plays in two bands, Kid Midnight and Watergate, both based in Brooklyn. An obsessive traveler, Britta loves long road trips to the South West and has a soft spot in her heart for canyons, rivers, and forests.

She also has a tiny cat named Athena that she loves more than anything else in the world and is always happy for new brewery recs.

Amanda Seyfried sure does have a type — of movie, that is. The genre-spanning actress nails every role she takes on, but it’s obvious that audiences have really enjoyed seeing her return to psychological thrillers, as made clear by the success of her latest release, The Housemaid. If you’re going to have a difficult time waiting for the recently announced second chapter of the story to play out, worry not, as we’ve got you covered with a suggestion from the Jennifer’s Body star’s past — and, no, it isn’t Mamma Mia! Beginning on February 1, Tubi is inviting audiences to tune into the free platform and travel back to 2009 and feast their eyes on the erotic thriller, Chloe, in which Seyfried stars opposite Julianne Moore and Liam Neeson.

While they’re different movies with different characters and different storylines, Chloe and The Housemaid both have a few foundational pinnacles that make them incredibly similar. For starters, they’re both overflowing with sensuality and fall under the psychological thriller category. They also both see Seyfried in a role that allows her to tap into her unhinged side and push herself to the limits.

Chloe follows Dr. Catherine Stewart (Moore), a gynecologist who believes that her husband, a college professor named David Stewart (Neeson), is cheating on her. To get a better grasp of what the potential situation is, Catherine hires Chloe (Seyfried), a professional escort, to spend time with her husband and see if he makes any advances. Things quickly blow up in Catherine’s face after Chloe finds herself enamored with David and unwilling to break things off. Similarly, The Housemaid sees Seyfried’s Nina clash with Sydney Sweeney’s Millie, who the former has just hired as a live-in housemaid.

The Success of ‘The Housemaid’

Filled with twists, turns, and an unexpected third act, The Housemaid has quickly captured the attention of audiences since its theatrical debut just last month. In addition to Seyfried and Sweeney, the movie also features a leading performance from Brandon Sklenar and is the latest to hail from A Simple Favor and Bridesmaids director, Paul Feig. Amassing a staggering $139 million against its $35 million production budget, the psychological thriller has already proven itself to be another winner and has broken the curse of Sweeney’s rough run at the box office. Additionally, thanks to its overnight success, the movie has already landed a sequel, which is set to see both Sweeney and Michele Morrone reprise their roles with Feig at the helm.

Head over to Tubi on February 1 to stream Chloe completely free of charge.
