Anwar Hadid looks in high spirits as he leaves Chateau Marmont with a Nicola Peltz-lookalike after his sister Alana waded into Beckham feud to brand his ex-girlfriend fame-hungry

Anwar Hadid cut a cheerful figure on Thursday night, as he left the Los Angeles' Chateau Marmont Hotel accompanied by a mystery blonde, after his sister waded into the explosive Beckham feud.

The model, 26, smiled as he made stylish exit from the celebrity-approved haunt in a distressed blue shirt and slacks, alongside a glam female friend, who bore an uncanny resemblance to his formerly-blonde ex-girlfriend Nicola Peltz.

His outing came just hours after his elder sister Alana insisted that Nicola, 31, has 'wanted to be famous for years', as she weighed in the row engulfing the actress' husband Brooklyn Beckham and his family.

Brooklyn, 26, shook the showbiz world to its core on Monday, when he took to Instagram to share a six-page statement saying he has no wishes to reconcile with his family and is standing up for himself 'for the first time in my life'.

The aspiring chef claimed his famous parents Victoria and David have 'controlled narratives about our family' and that they 'have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship (with wife Nicola) since before my wedding, and it hasn't stopped'.

However, Alana, 40, accused the eldest Beckham child of making the statement purely for fame and claimed that Brooklyn and Nicola had zero desire for privacy.

Anwar dated the heiress, 31, from 2016 to 2018, when she was 22 years old and he was 17, and it was rumoured that he grew distant from his family during the relationship

She aired her views by replying to a comment by photographer Eli Rezkallah that read: 'Ending an eight paragraph rant about his family's dirty laundry with "all we want is privacy" is all I need to know'.

Alana echoed comments made by many, as she agreed: 'Right and that girl doesn't want privacy she's been trying to be famous for a decade'.

Her entire family, which includes supermodel sisters Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid, are said to have had issues with Nicola, following the heiress' relationship with Anwar from 2016 to 2018 - the year before she met Brooklyn.

At the time, there were plenty of rumours that Nicola had 'caused tensions' in the Hadid household after Anwar grew distant from his family during their relationship, which began when she was 22 years old and he was 17.

A tweet claimed: 'Brooklyn Beckham's wife previously dated Anwar Hadid, and he also stopped talking to his parents. Yolanda [Anwar's mum] said, "Not on my watch."'

Much like with comments about Victoria, Nicola was quick to ingratiate herself with her beau’s mother, Yolanda, while dating Anwar, saying they were ‘besties’ and posing for sweet selfies together on Instagram.

She also joined catwalk stars Bella and Gigi - who, it is thought, introduced her to Anwar - on the red carpet and gushed over the Hadid clan, saying: '[Anwar] comes from an amazing family.

'Gigi and Bella are so, so sweet. I just love his family so much. They're feminine, strong girls. To have that around is amazing.'

Brooklyn, 26, shook the showbiz world to its core on Monday, when he took to Instagram to share a six-page statement saying he has no wishes to reconcile with his family and is standing up for himself 'for the first time in my life' (seen with Harper, David and Victoria in 2023)

Alana, 40, accused the eldest Beckham child of making the statement purely for fame and claimed that Brooklyn and Nicola had zero desire for privacy

However, according to the Daily Mail, relations seemingly declined over time and they were left with 'no good feeling' between them as Nicola proceeded to unfollow the whole family on social media after her and Anwar split.

An insider said that Bella and Gigi grew to ‘dislike’ Nicola because they thought she could be ‘controlling’, while Yolanda reportedly tried to stage an ‘intervention’ with her son to make him ‘see sense’.

The source close to the Hadids told the Mail: 'Anwar’s mother and sisters were worried he was becoming increasingly unhappy in his relationship and they were keen for him to get out of it quickly.

'The age difference bothered them, and so did Nicola’s strong personality. It had started so well but they later began to no longer think the relationship was the best idea for Anwar.

‘That led to some conversations between Anwar and the family. They feared he was struggling, going out with a woman who was older than him at such a formative time in his life. Strong words were had; Yolanda was so relieved when it all finished. Poor Anwar was somewhat discombobulated by the whole relationship.’

And following Alana’s telling comment, many have pointed out there are several stark similarities to Nicola's relationship with Brooklyn.

Not only is there again a significant age gap between them, with the nepo baby being five years her junior, but it has been reported that the Beckhams have similarly described her as ‘controlling’.

While the Hadids and Beckhams are both known for being wildly famous, appearing in their own TV shows and on magazine covers - despite their wealth paling in comparison to that of the Peltzs.

Heading up the family is Nicola's businessman and investor father Nelson Peltz, 83, who is said to be worth an astonishing £1.2billion, in comparison to former Spice Girl Victoria and footballer David, combined wealth of an estimated £335million.

Yolanda is even said to have reached out to Victoria and David amid the feud, causing fans to raise eyebrows and come up with their own theories after she suffered her own 'strained' relationship with Nicola during her romance with Anwar.

And, Beckham allies say the only thing bringing Victoria any solace in the wake of her estrangement from her oldest son is that Yolanda suffered a similarly painful experience.

‘It isn’t just Victoria here, the same happened with Yolanda,’ says the friend.

Alana's swipe at Nicola has been echoed elsewhere, with many pointing at her lacklustre acting career as well as her string of celebrity exes.

She rose to fame for her acting with one of her biggest roles being in Transformers movie Age of Extinction, while she also starred in Bates Motel, the prequel to Psycho.

She confirmed on Instagram she had an integral part of new indie movie, Prima, which is in production. Sharing the new movie news, she wrote: 'I'm truly honoured that this incredible cast and crew came together for Prima.

'It still feels unreal that my wildest dreams came true - that these extraordinarily talented creatives joined forces to bring to life a story that first began in my dreams.'

Following Alana’s telling comment, many have pointed out there are several stark similarities to Nicola's relationship with Brooklyn, who is also five years her junior (pictured left with Anwar in 2017 and right with Brooklyn in October)

Sources have alleged that while the Peltzs may have more money that the Beckhams, the latter's star power is what has drawn 'fame-hungry' Nicola (Brooklyn and Nicola pictured with her parents Nelson and Claudia last month)

Nicola has reportedly had long list of famous exes, having dated co-star Brenton Thwaites in 2014, Cameron Fuller in 2015, Anwar in 2017, and LANY frontman Paul between 2018 and 2019, as well an alleged string of dates with Justin Bieber.

Insiders told the Daily Mail: 'Nicola's family are much, much richer than the Beckhams. But the Beckhams are so much more famous. There isn't a showbiz family that is anywhere near their level of fame when it comes to social media...

'Some might be inclined to believe she uses her connections – and husband – for what she can get from them.'

When previously asked about her family's reaction to fame, she said: 'My family is not in the limelight. I don't see them like that at all.'

She explained that while growing up in Westchester, just outside New York City, her family were more about school sports than stadium tours: 'I come from a hockey family.

'All my brothers play hockey and my parents are, I guess, anti-Hollywood... They didn't grow up in LA or anything.'

Brooklyn Beckham's statement in full

I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.

I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life. For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.

Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they'll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.

My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn't stopped. My mum cancelled making Nicola's dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.

Weeks before our big day, my parents repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name, which would have affected me, my wife, and our future children.

They were adamant on me signing before my wedding date because then the terms of the deal would be initiated. My holdout affected the payday, and they have never treated me the same since.

During the wedding planning, my mum went so far as to call me 'evil' because Nicola and I chose to include my Nanny Sandra, and Nicola's Naunni at our table, because they both didn't have their husbands. Both of our parents had their own tables equally adjacent to ours.

The night before our wedding, members of my family told me that Nicola was 'not blood' and 'not family.' Since the moment I started standing up for myself with my family, I've received endless attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly, that were sent to the press on their orders.

Even my brothers were sent to attack me on social media, before they ultimately blocked me out of nowhere this last Summer.

My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song. In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.

She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I've never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.

My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we've tried to come together as one. My mum has repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable.

Despite this, we still travelled to London for my dad's birthday and were rejected for a week as we waited in our hotel room trying to plan quality time with him. He refused all of our attempts, unless it was at his big birthday party with a hundred guests and cameras at every corner.

When he finally agreed to see me, it was under the condition that Nicola wasn't invited. It was a slap in the face. Later, when my family travelled to LA, they refused to see me at all.

My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first. Family 'love' is decided by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo opp, even if it's at the expense of our professional obligations.

We've gone out of our way for years to show up and support at every fashion show, every party, and every press activity to show 'our perfect family.' But the one time my wife asked for my mum's support to save displaced dogs during the LA fires, my mum refused.

The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared.

I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief. My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.'
