Andy Carroll reveals he has undergone hamstring surgery as he cosies up to girlfriend Lou Teasdale in loved-up clip from his hospital bed

Andy Carroll revealed he had undergone surgery on a fracture and ligaments as he shared a clip from his hospital bed on Saturday. 

The footballer, 37, took to the platform fresh from the operating theatre while cosying up to girlfriend Lou Teasdale, 42, in his hospital bed. 

Andy was dressed in a gown and attached to a drip as he wrapped his arm around the hairstylist and planted a kiss on her nose.

Andy's sustained hamstring injury after joining Dagenham & Redbridge last year, causing him to miss the start of the 2025/26 season. 

The couple have been dating since Andy's split from ex-wife Billi Mucklow, 37, in July 2024 after a turbulent two year marriage. They began divorce proceedings in September last year. 

Just weeks after their split, he went public with Lou, having reportedly met at Glastonbury in June the same year.

His hospital stay comes after Andy was reportedly pounced on by police shortly after landing in the UK from France at Stansted Airport.

He was questioned by officers and held for a short period, a source told the Sun at the time of his arrest.

'It seemed as if an issue was flagged up to the Border Force officers at passport control at Stansted, which led to police being called. He was questioned then taken away,' they said. 

'It caused quite a kerfuffle as there were lots of other passengers around where he was arrested.'

Essex Police told the newspaper: 'A man has been charged with breaching a non-molestation order. 

'Andrew Carroll, 36, of Epping, was arrested on April 27 and the alleged offences relate to an incident in March. 

'He is due to appear at Chelmsford magistrates' court on December 30.' 

Carroll, who earned nine England caps during his career, is currently playing for non-league side Dagenham and Redbridge.

The striker joined the National League South side in the summer, after returning to England following spells at French clubs Amiens and Bordeau.

Earlier this year it was claimed that the tumultuous couple had ended their relationship for a second time, after a make-or-break holiday failed to mend their romance.

However, Andy soon took to social media to share a sweet image with Lou confirming their relationship was still going strong.

The couple first split earlier this month after a series of rows, with initial reports claiming the footballer dumped the make-up artist after growing fed up with her high-maintenance behaviour. 

Daily Mail exclusively revealed it was in fact Lou who called off the relationship, and just four days later, Andy revealed they had decided to reconcile.
