Brooklyn’s decision to holiday at the San Ysidro Ranch, owned by Beanie Babies billionaire Ty Warner, comes amid rising rumours that the 24-year-old is set to pen his own tell-all autobiography in the same vein as Harry’s bombshell Spare.
Last week it was reported that Spare’s publishers, Penguin Random House, were discussing a deal, with a source saying of Brooklyn: ‘He’s seen how well the book did for Harry… Same publisher. Same idea of finally telling your truth. That’s not a coincidence.’
It was at San Ysidro – a resort favoured by the likes of Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock and even Winston Churchill – where Harry launched his memoirs with a devastating interview claiming the Royal Family were ‘complicit’ in stoking family conflict via the media.
So its choice as a holiday venues for Brooklyn and Nicola, 31, only underscores parallels with the royals, as errant sons flee to the US with glamorous American wives to escape what they see as stifling families.
That both couples were at the same California dinner do last year fuelled the rumour mill, which last week’s trip will do nothing to quell. Watch this space!
