Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Predator Kills The Marvel Universe #5

After 37 years, Marvel has introduced a clean and brutal way to kill the Predator. Thanks to the recently concluded Predator Kills The Marvel Universe limited series, we're shown exactly how Earth’s heroes finally managed to gain the upper hand, turning the deadliest sci-fi warriors and their hunting skills against them.

In Predator Kills The Marvel Universe, a major force of Yautja invades Earth, armed with unique vibranium weapons and armor as well as unique intel from none other than Kraven the Hunter, who had joined their ranks. Despite the Predators systematically killing some of the greatest and most powerful Marvel heroes, the final issue shows us how the survivors manage to take back the planet.

Iron Man Gave Wolverine and Spider-Man A Major Armor Upgrade

Iron Man Offers Suits To Wolverine and Spider-Man in Predator Kills The Marvel Universe 5

Predator Kills The Marvel Universe depicts Earth falling incredibly quickly, with Yautja overwhelming several heroes using superior tech and ruthlessness. Multiple members of the Avengers, X-Men, and Fantastic Four are brutally killed in several unique ways, as the Predators had various custom plans to kill key heroes like Hulk and even Thor (courtesy of Kraven's intel).

However, the final issue opens with the major turning point with Tony Stark unveiling new armor for his fellow survivors, Wolverine and Spider-Man. Designed specifically to counter the Predators' advantages, these new suits of armor become the focal point as Earth is gradually reclaimed by the Marvel Universe's remaining heroes.

Iron Man's Answer To Taking on Predators? Become Even Better Predators

Iron Man Wolverine and Spider-Man Using Vibranium Armor vs Predators

Iron Man's solution is simple and savage: out-Predator the Predators. All three suits were built from Stark's personal store of vibranium retrieved from deep space, matching the Yautja’s own vibranium gear. The suits also include cloaking systems that mask thermal signatures, neutralizing one of the alien hunters' greatest advantages and allowing them to be caught completely by surprise.

With the technology gap closed, Earth finally gets to fight back in earnest. Combined with Weapon X controlling a captured Predator, Sue Storm killing the Predator king, and Wakandan forces arriving as key reinforcements with their own vibranium, Earth is gradually reclaimed in a green bloodbath, proving once again that Predators can be beaten once their prey refuses to stop being prey.

While this final issue does tease more Predator/Marvel stories down the line, it's pretty cool to see such a massive comeback from some of Marvel's greatest heroes (and some truly awesome new Iron Man suits).

Predator Kills The Marvel Universe #5 is on sale now from Marvel Comics.
