Image via CineverseA cinematic obsessive with the filmic palate of a starving raccoon, Rob London will watch pretty much anything once. With a mind like a steel trap, he's an endless fount of movie and TV trivia, borne from a misspent youth of watching monster movies on TV, perusing the sun-faded goods at the local video rental shop, and staining his fingers with ink from the Video Movie Guide. Areas of interest include science fiction, film noir, horror flicks, '70s disaster pictures, Bond movies, '90s action, giant robots, dinosaurs, super heroes, and the exuberantly schlocky output of Cannon Films. He also enjoys both Star Trek and Star Wars when they're good, and maybe even more when they're bad. As a Canadian, he also has a vested interest in Canadian movies and TV shows, especially the cheesier ones dubbed "Canuxploitation."
An expert on Marvel Comics, he has also written for the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, and is a member of the Marvel Research Team. He can frequently be found pontificating on comic-book continuity or bemoaning the misfortunes of the Toronto Maple Leafs on his Twitter account.
A desperate pair of thieves breaks into the wrong house in the new thriller Misdirection. Collider has an exclusive first look at the trailer for the home-invasion film, which is headed for home release next month. Misdirection will be available on digital and on-demand on February 10, 2026. Misdirection is directed by Kevin Lewis; he previously helmed the action horror film Willy's Wonderland, which pitted Nicolas Cage against an army of animatronic mascots, and the recently released horror movie Pig Hill. The film was written by Lacy McClory (Sapphire) and is distributed by Cineverse.
In the new trailer, Sara (Olga Kurylenko) and Jason (Oliver Trevena) are a couple in debt to some very bad people; to pay them off, they've embarked on a series of daring burglaries. They only need one more job to gain their freedom, and it will be their biggest yet. They've planned it all out: they'll hit the luxurious house of prominent defense attorney David Blume (Frank Grillo) while he's giving a speech. Unfortunately for them, he gets home early, and before long, the three of them are trapped in Blume's high-tech house together. Soon, the predators become the prey...but as the title would imply, not everything is as it seems. To find out, you'll have to catch Misdirection when it breaks into your home next month.
“Misdirection is a home-invasion thriller centered on a desperate couple who, after a string of high-end break-ins, find themselves ensnared in a deadly game of cat and mouse—where the tables turn, and the hunters become the hunted," says director Kevin Lewis. "Working alongside Frank Grillo, Olga Kurylenko, and Oliver Trevena was an extraordinary experience that elevated this neo-noir thriller at every turn."
Who Are the Stars of 'Misdirection'?
Grillo is a staple of modern action cinema. He made his screen debut in The Mambo Kings and went on to make appearances in films like Minority Report, The Grey, and End of Watch. He also appeared in several MCU films as Crossbones, and in Superman as Rick Flag Sr. He will next appear in the thriller Hard Matter with Harvey Keitel, and the science fiction film Override with Maria Bakalova, and currently stars alongside Sylvester Stallone in the Paramount+ series Tulsa King. A model and actor, Kurylenko broke out in the video game adaptation Hitman before starring alongside Daniel Craig in the James Bond movie Quantum of Solace. She has subsequently appeared in films like Oblivion, Seven Psychopaths, and The Death of Stalin. She starred as the villainous Taskmaster in Black Widow, a role she reprised in last year's Thunderbolts. Trevena has appeared in a number of action films, including The Gorge, Plane, and Red Sonja; he is next set to appear in Hotel Tehran (with Liam Neeson) and Lone Wolf (with Bryan Cranston).
Misdirection will be available on digital and on-demand on February 10, 2026. Stay tuned to Collider for future updates.
