Shrishty is a decade-old journalist covering a variety of beats between politics to pop culture, but movies are her first love, which led her to study Film and TV Development at UCLAx. She lives and breathes cinema and sometimes wakes up with the close-up shot of Ryan Gosling's hands playing piano in La La Land, in her head.

She has worked with numerous media outlets, including Burda Media (MSN News), DKODING Media, The Voice of Fashion, Hindustan Times, and more. Throughout her career, she has interviewed an array of people, from CEOs and politicians to filmmakers and farmers.

Tom Hiddleston’s highly anticipated spy series is here, and it has been deemed certified fresh. The Loki actor returns as Jonathan Pine in the John le Carré–inspired thriller with some familiar faces and some new. The Night Manager Season 2 debuted in the UK this New Year, after a decade-long wait, and was worth it. While regulars like Tom Hollander and Elizabeth Debicki are missing in the new season, the globe-trotting mission and talented new cast make up for it.

The Night Manager Season 2 has received a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score from the critics. Season 2 is being praised for its writing, tone, and craft, while some are praising Hiddleston’s return as the former British spy, and Diego Calva for posing as a worthy, menacing villain. Nonetheless, the audience’s verdict is yet due, and if their ratings are similar to the critics or anywhere near, a third season may be possible.

The second season follows Jonathan Pine, now living an uneventful life as low-level MI6 officer Alex Goodwin. Things take a turn one night, when a chance sighting of an old Roper mercenary prompts a call to action. The new mission leads Pine to a violent encounter with a new player: Colombian businessman Teddy Dos Santos (Calva). Pine meets a new partner in crime, Roxana Bolaños (Camila Morrone), a businesswoman who reluctantly helps him infiltrate Teddy’s Colombian arms operation. In Colombia, Pine is plunged deep into a deadly plot involving arms and training of a guerrilla army, as Pine races against time to expose a conspiracy designed to destabilize a nation. Along with Hiddleston, Calva, and Morrone, the series also stars Olivia Colman, Paul Chahidi, Hayley Squires, Indira Varma, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Slavko Sobin, Unax Ugalde, and many more.

Tom Hiddleston Will Return in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

Hiddleston will soon return to the MCU in the big superhero mashup, Avengers: Doomsday. The marketing has begun as the studio has released two trailers so far, Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers trailer, and more recently, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor trailer. With most of the main stars from the Infinity Saga returning, Hiddleston’s Loki isn’t left far behind, given he has transformed into the God of Stories, holding all the timelines together. How Loki fits into the larger narrative remains to be seen. Also returning are X-Men heroes, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, James Marsden, and more when Avengers: Doomsday drops in theaters on December 18.

Meanwhile, check out The Night Manager Season 2 on Amazon Prime on January 11.
