Nikki Glaser Reveals the One Celebrity She Can't Roast at Golden Globes

Nikki Glaser's chances of hosting the Golden Globes for a third consecutive year are golden.

The comedian had the entire star-studded audience at the 2026 ceremony laughing out loud on Jan. 11, which is exactly why the show's producer Glenn Weiss shared that he loves the idea of her returning to the gig in 2027.

“Nikki is such a great talent, and I think she really, truly found her place here,” Glenn told Variety in an interview published Jan. 12. “I think she’s a perfect host for us."

And it's not just her comedic timing that made her excel as the host of this year's award show, which saw stars including Rose Byrne, Teyana Taylor and Owen Cooper take home trophies. (To find out every star who won big at the 2026 Golden Globes, click here.

"She is one of the hardest working people I’ve met in this industry," Glenn continued of Nikki. "She really cares about what she’s doing. She goes out, she practices sets, things changed right up till when we went on the air from our first rehearsal to the last."

He added, "I’ve got to give her major props for not just how funny she is, but how hard she works and what a great person she is for this role.”

And while Glenn noted that "no conversation has been had" about next year yet, he emphasized that bringing Nikki back would be his preference. As he put it, "If you ask me, what’s in my heart, I certainly hope so.”

As for Nikki? The 41-year-old revealed that she'd certainly be down to tackle the challenge again.

"You can do anything once, but doing it twice is a feat. I’ll probably want to do it a third time," she told Variety in an interview published Jan. 7. "Also it’s honestly really fun. There’s something really satisfying about when you get it right, when you put in so much work."

Indeed, Nikki's monologue was one of the highlights of the 83rd annual Golden Globes, with her poking fun at celebs including Sean Penn, Kevin Hart and Leonardo DiCaprio

In fact, even Leo—who lost to Timothée Chalamet in the Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical/Comedy category—seemed to get a kick out of her joke about his reputation for dating much younger women.

"What a career you've had," Nikki told the One Battle After Another star during her opening monologue as he watched on with a big smile on his face. "I mean, countless iconic performances, you've worked with every great director. You've won three Golden Globes, an Oscar."

Earning a laugh and a nod from Leo in response, she quipped, "And the most impressive thing is that you were able to accomplish all of that before your girlfriend turned 30. I mean, it's just insane."
