ZDNET's key takeaways

  • Klipsch previewed new headphones and speakers at CES 2026.
  • The Atlas HP-1 headphones and The Three IV were my favorites.
  • Both products are still in development and expected this summer.

The CES 2026 show might be over, but there are plenty of products I saw that still have me reeling, two of which are from the renowned audio brand Klipsch. The company is known for its high-fidelity audio products, and its upcoming headphones and smart speakers have me eagerly anticipating the rest of the year.

The over-ear, ANC-equipped Atlas HP-1 headphones and The Three tabletop speaker were two of my favorite finds during CES 2026, and I was lucky enough to demo both before their official launch later this year.

Although ANC headphones and smart speakers are both saturated markets, these two products excited me. Here's why.

Atlas HP-1

Few audio fans will deny that Klipsch's products sound fantastic, whether it's reproduced through the company's high-end reference speakers or its consumer-friendly headphones. The HP-1 are the company's ANC-enabled headphones, targeted to travelers and everyday listeners.

Their design features authentic wood accents and a leather headband and earpads. Internally, the HP-1 feature a coaxial driver, a rarity in consumer headphones, which should provide exceptional audio imaging.

I demoed the HP-1 in the Las Vegas Convention Center, so I couldn't focus too intently on the headphones' sound profile, but I did notice their impressive noise-canceling performance in the busy environment. Their noise-canceling performance stood out to me because, unlike its competitors from Bowers & Wilkins and Focal, the HP-1's ANC was impressively strong.

Upon first impressions, I can say Bose and Sony still outperform the HP-1 in the noise-canceling department, but not by much. Klipsch's sound, coupled with ANC on par with some of the best, makes for a dangerously good combination.

According to Klipsch, the Atlas HP-1 should be available in the US this summer. Details regarding pricing are unclear, but I would suspect they'll retail between $650 and $850.

The Three IV

Klipsch's The Three IV tabletop Bluetooth speaker returns with a more modern design, as opposed to its predecessor's retro design elements, forgoing angular edges and copper switches and knobs for rounded edges, buttons, and a vertical dial for audio controls.

Additionally, The Three IV will feature Auracast and a new front-mounted digital display to showcase album cover art, track details, and volume. I didn't get to hear The Three IV at CES, as Klipsch says these products were a preview and not a final product yet. However, it looks promising.

Like the Atlas HP-1, The Three IV should be available this summer. Details about pricing are unclear, but my guess is it'll be between $400 and $600.
