Critics Choice Awards: Why Jessica Biel Feels Like a "Crazy Person" at Justin Timberlake Concerts
Jessica Biel is taking everyone to seventh heaven with this look.
The Better Sister actress was a vision at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards in at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., Jan. 4, where she’s nominated for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made For Television for her work on the Amazon Prime show.
Jessica was certainly making the red carpet a better place, donning a gold and black ruffled and flowing Lanvin gown with a plunging back and sheer cutouts all along the bodice, giving a see through look to the dress. And as the 43-year-old shared, she and the dress had an immediate connection.
"I think these things kind of choose you,” she exclusively shared with Justin Sylvester on LIVE from E!: Critics Choice Awards. “It was one of the choices in my fitting and it just was the right thing.”
She added, “It feels comfortable, playful, kind of sexy. It just felt right.”
For Jessica, fashion is key both on the red carpet and onscreen, as the 7th Heaven alum—who shares sons Silas, 10, and Phineas, 4, with husband Justin Timberlake—recently shared how important the costume design was in helping her portray the character of Chloe in The Better Sister.
“Working with Stacey Battat, our amazing costume designer, was a dream,” she shared with Deadline in June. “We really collaborated well together, and she had a real idea of what she felt could be right for Chloe and I just agreed with her pretty much on almost everything.”

Considering the character is a successful magazine editor, Jessica felt that her character “would spend a last dollar to have the right label, to have the right trending beautiful power suit to give off a persona of strength and power.”
“It wasn’t necessarily the easiest costumes to wear all the time and I think that was important,” she added, “because comfort is just not part of what is important to her, so she will suffer. She will suffer for that fashion. She will suffer for that image.”
But clothing isn’t the only part of Chloe’s appearance she puts a lot of effort into. Fans quickly noticed the editor's fit physique, especially how toned her back and arms are in the show—which led to Jessica sharing a peek at her vigorous workout routine.

“The arm and back workout everyone asked for is finally here!” she posted alongside a video of the workout to Instagram in November, featuring a voiceover by trainer Ben Bruno. “Thank you to my friend and amazing trainer @benbrunotraining for all of the help leading up to The Better Sister but also for my everyday life.”
In the video, Jessica could be seen doing several reps of her favorite moves, ranging from seated pull ups and single arm lunges to inverted rows that ended in a deep squat. And though the workout looked intense, Ben assured fans she “doesn’t do all these moves in one workout.”
As for her appearance at the Critics Choice Awards, Jessica wasn’t the only one looking toned and stylish. Keep reading for a look at all the stars on the red carpet.
