An avid comic book fan since she first read "Stan Lee's Soapbox," Allison Hambrick is your friendly neighborhood generalist writer. Journalism, editing, media production, copywriting—she does it all. From her very first blog post about Smallville as a primary schooler, Allison developed a passion for superheroes and the entertainment industry at large.

Majoring in writing and film at SCAD, Allison put her skills to work writing, editing, podcasting, and more. Currently, she moonlights as an editor at the ASHRAE Journal by day and Screen Rant by night. Allison also previously worked for Warner Bros. Entertainment and for Disney.

Through her writing, she hopes to inspire, to entertain, and to empower others to be the best versions of themselves, and her mission in life is to make Stan proud. In her free time, she enjoys reading, video game design, traveling, and spending time outside with her dogs, Loki and Elphaba. Allison is fluent in movie quotes, and her favorite film is Superman II.

With Avengers: Doomsday's sprawling cast, it's a surprise that many popular cast members are not on the roster. One such hero is Valkyrie, played by Tessa Thompson. Originating in 2017's Thor: Ragnarok, she has gone on to appear in Avengers: Endgame, Thor: Love & Thunder, and The Marvels.

Though costars Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston are confirmed for Doomsday, Thompson, as mentioned, is missing in action. However, when asked by The Playlist about whether she would be in Doomsday, the actress played coy, replying: "Oh, [I’m] not able to confirm anything." Despite not confirming or denying an appearance in the next Avengers film, Thompson praised the experience of working with Marvel.

"I think this is the coolest thing about hanging out inside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: all the incredible people that you get to play with, both the incredible craftspeople that create these worlds, all the amazing directors that they invite into these spaces, and all of the incredible talent," Thompson said. "And also, I think there are so many tonal spaces you can go to inside of a Marvel movie."

Beyond the collaborative spirit of the productions, the actress also highlighted the variety of genres explored within MCU movies. Per Thompson, they "can explore drama and comedy, and there’s so much to do."

As for whether she would be game to return as Valkyrie, Thompson's answer is "for sure." She continued: "I just love the character so much that I would always be interested." Previously, the Creed star opened up about her hopes for Valkyrie, teasing a romance between her and Brie Larson's Captain Marvel:

"I, you know, the heart wants what it wants. I don't… I can't speak yet to Valkyrie. She hasn't had a ton of time to focus too squarely on her love life since she's been besought with a lot of kingly duties. But there are a lot of amazing men, women, other-wordly creatures inside of the MCU and certainly in the canon of characters that could enter the MCU. So, I think there's so many fish in the sea. She's single. She's ready to mingle. And I love, both in the comics, Carol and I… Brie Larson is a good friend of mine and I love spending time with her. So, I wouldn't be mad at it, for sure."

Regardless of how her MC future shapes up, Valkyrie is poised to be an important figure moving forward as the ruler of New Asgard, especially with Thor and Loki returning in Doomsday.
