What Went Into the Most Satisfying Scene in ‘Predator: Badlands’

There are many, many awesome moments in Predator: Badlands, but one in particular really takes the cake. It’s near the end of the film when our hero, Dek, decides he will go into the Weyland-Yutani camp to rescue his new friend, Thia. The problem is, Dek is all out of weapons, so he arms himself with everything he’s learned so far on the killer planet of Genna.

The resulting scene is the perfect spin on the ending of the original Predator, which also becomes a bit of an homage to Aliens, too. And, in this exclusive clip from the brand-new digital release, you can see how the team behind the film came up with this incredible sequence.

That’s just one of the many, many behind-the-scenes features on the release, which, again, is out now on all major digital platforms. It’ll then be on physical media in a few weeks, on February 17. Here’s the full list of features.

Razor Grass—The original previsualization of Dek, Thia, and Bud’s first hunt together… sort of.
The Outpost—Thia takes Dek to a small Weyland-Yutani field facility where they experience a few things that ended up being used elsewhere in the final film.
Super Power Loader Extended—Special additional moments during Dek’s climactic final battle with the Super Power Loader and the Kalisk.
