Adam Schweitzer is changing teams as he moves to WME after 25 years with ICM and CAA.
The veteran talent agent has joined WME as a senior partner in its talent department. Schweitzer is bringing a strong roster of clients along with him, including Cillian Murphy, Rebecca Ferguson, Rachel Zegler, Christoph Waltz, Hong Chau and Patrick Stewart.
“Adam brings with him a wealth of experience and is a great match for WME, in addition to being an incredible agent – his work and clients speak for themselves,” said Richard Weitz, co-chairman of WME. “We are thrilled to welcome him and excited to hit the ground running this year.”
Schweitzer established himself as a top rep for thesps at ICM, which he first joined in 2000 as an assistant. He made the transition to CAA in 2022 after that agency acquired ICM Partners. At ICM, Schweitzer rose to managing director and board member. He was also part of the senior agent group that acquired ICM in 2012 from its private equity owner in a management buyout.
“WME has built an incredible culture alongside a business that encourages collaboration and is best suited to support talent in today’s market,” Schweitzer said. “I’m looking forward to this next chapter, both for myself and my clients.”
Other clients who will follow Schweitzer to WME include actors Cooper Hoffman, Tom Hollander, Diane Kruger, Paddy Considine, Hank Azaria, Dianne Wiest, Jim Sturgess, Nina Arianda and writer Emily Ziff Griffin.
Schweitzer is based in New York. His move comes at a moment when a number of seasoned tenpercenters have made company moves or transitioned into management.
