‘Tulsa King’ Star’s Tense Revenge Thriller Sweeps Into Streaming Top 10 in America

Garrett Hedlund will always be known for his role in Taylor Sheridan’s Tulsa King, but late last year, he starred in an intense revenge thriller that’s dominating streaming. Hedlund features opposite Brittany Snow (The Hunting Wives) and Stephen Lang (Avatar: Fire and Ash) in Barron’s Cove, the crime thriller following a father determined to exact revenge against the one who kidnapped his child. Barron’s Cove recently began streaming on Paramount+ in America, where the film has quickly entered the streamer’s top 10, sitting at #4 at the time of writing. It continues to rise by the day and may even take the top spot.

Barron’s Cove was met with a relatively lukewarm reception upon its premiere last year, but the biggest problem with the film was that most fans weren’t sure how to watch it. It was a bit unclear leading up to release if it was going to play in theaters at all, but after grossing less than $100,000, it seems distribution was never entirely nailed down. It did earn scores of 62% from critics and 74% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, and it performed well on VOD before it became Paramount’s under-the-radar streaming hit.

Evan Ari Kelman wrote and directed Barron’s Cove, which is among the most famous works of his career thus far. Barron’s Cove marks his feature directorial debut after previously only working on a series of shorts as both a writer and a director. Now that the film is doing so well on Paramount+, which is one of the biggest streaming services in the world, he’ll certainly have more opportunities coming down the line.

When Does the Next Season of ‘Tulsa King’ Come Out?

Paramount+ has not announced when the next season of Tulsa King will be released, but all signs point to it coming out before the end of the year. Tulsa King was renewed for a fourth season mere days before the Season 3 premiere in September 2025, so the team had the final few months of 2025 to figure out how to get things scheduled for Season 4 production. Taylor Sheridan’s star-studded drama, which also stars Frank Grillo and Sylvester Stallone, has released three full seasons in four years, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the next season follow a similar timeline.
