THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT THE MASKED SINGER SEASON 14!The Masked Singer season 14 contestant Stingray's identity was all but confirmed to be actor and singer Evan Ross during premiere night due to a very revealing clue. The Masked Singer season 14 welcomed back host Nick Cannon, along with panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora. Ten of the 18 season 14 contestants performed during the premiere, including Stingray, who advanced to the next round after winning his head-to-head battle with Snow Cone.
During The Masked Singer season 14 premiere, two contestants' identities were revealed, including Googly Eyes, who was eliminated and revealed to be baseball Hall of Famer David Ortiz, and Cat Witch, who's America's Insider, Kylie Cantrall, who'll be giving behind-the-scenes information throughout the season. In addition, the Croissants were also sent home, but their identities won't be revealed until episode 2.
Although Stingray's identity is still under wraps, his spectacular performance of "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees, plus his clue package might've already given away who he really is. Here are all of the clues that prove that Stingray is most likely Evan Ross.
Stingray's Masked Singer Season 14 Premiere Night Clue Might Prove His True Identity As Evan Ross
Credit: Noel Vasquez/Getty ImagesIn Stingray's Masked Singer season 14 clue package, he revealed that he has a famous mother who hosted parties that included Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, and Stevie Wonder. This clue was a giveaway that Stingray is probably Evan because his mother is the legendary singer, Diana Ross, who was friends with all of these music icons. Evan is Diana's youngest child, and is her son with shipping magnate and mountaineer Arne Næss Jr.
Other Clues That Confirm Stingray Is Evan Ross
There were many other clues in Stingray's Masked Singer season 14 premiere night clue package that pointed to Evan as well. He mentioned that he was seen on Sunset Boulevard, and Evan once owned a house on the Sunset Strip. Visual clues included an ant crawling on a glass, which could be a reference to Evan's ex-girlfriend, Aubrey O'Day, who competed in The Masked Singer season 13 as Ant. A picture of Paris Hilton might refer to Evan's friendship with her, or perhaps even Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris, with whom he's close friends.
In addition, Nick realized Stingray's true identity during his interview with him after his performance, stating that they were friends. Nick and Evan are friends.
Although it's still only speculation, it seems as though Stingray's clues are pointing in the direction of Evan. His voice sounds like his, and the clue about his famous mother appears to reference Diana Ross. Whoever Stingray turns out to be, his next Masked Singer performance is certain to be electrifying.
