EXCLUSIVE: Here’s your first look at The Uniform, the upcoming Danish police drama series.

The Miso Film crime drama for Denmark‘s pubcaster, DR, follows the criminal investigation into a fatal police shooting that threatens the credibility of the entire institution. We’ve got a selection of shots from the six-parter.

The central cast includes Soheil Bavi, Clara Rosager, Gustav Giese, Marco Ilsø, Mathilde Arcel and Clint Ruben as trainees at Denmark’s elite police training academy; Lene Maria Christensen as its principal; Jakob Cedergren as a police officer; and Simon Sears as prosecutor for the Police Complaints Authority.

Bavi’s character, a rising star in contemporary Denmark who dreams of being an officer, sits at the center of the drama, being the trainee who fires his weapon. Public outrage and political pressure pile up, igniting a war over future control of the police. The academy is put into lockdown, as blame begins spreading like wildfire and bonds between trainees are shaken.

Oscar Giese and Anders August are the writers, and Jonas Alexander Arnby is the director. Sofie Bergstein, Jonas Allen and Peter Bose from Miso Film produce for DR, and Miso parent Fremantle is handling international sales.

Jonas Allen, CEO and producer at Miso Film, said: “With The Uniform we wanted to twist the traditional cop show and focus on the responsibility and challenges that come along when you become a police officer. The police academy is a truly exciting arena for a crime-drama where theory meets practice seen through the eyes of young students, educators and police officers played by some of the most prolific Danish cast.”

Jens Richter, CEO of Commercial and International at Fremantle, added: “The Uniform is a gripping crime drama exposing the true cost of loyalty and corruption within a police academy – a unique setting we rarely see on our screens. A mistake has deadly consequences, and the story evolves into a fight for survival. Our incredible ensemble cast and production values bring this tense thriller to life, giving it an edge I know will have audiences hooked.”

Here’s a look at the images – some of which have been released locally in Denmark and some not.
