The first Pokémon LEGO set might have leaked, and it’s not exactly what I was expecting

What do we think, trainers?

We’re still a little over a month and a half away from Pokémon Day marking the franchise’s 30th anniversary, but the goodies are starting to show up already.

This morning, we may have gotten our first look at one of the Pokémon LEGO sets to mark the occasion as part of a huge collab between the two iconic brands, and it’s by way of a LEGO account on social media.

While the image looks very legitimate, with how realistic generative AI is these days, it’s hard to call it 100 percent real. But it sure looks real, and for now, I think we may have our first set that gamers everywhere will be preordering as soon as possible.

A recent leak on Reddit teased names of LEGO Pokémon sets that are due to drop in summer 2026, and this one wasn’t included in it, so it’s possible that it could be a part of the first wave coming at the end of February. That leak revealed some names of other sets, including Squirtle’s Training Buggy Adventure, Charmander’s Wild Encounter with Geodude, and Pikachu’s Training House.

Personally, I’m most looking forward to a few sets called Jolteon vs. Charizard, Eevee Evolution, and Mewtwo Lab. But until it’s official, we can only dream of what they look like for now, other than this potentially bad-ass badge collection to mark everyone’s first journey as Pokémon trainers on the Gameboy 30 years ago.

What do you think of this set, if it’s real? Will you be buying? Let us know in the comments and get ready for official Pokémon announcements on Feb. 27 and the weeks leading up to it.
