Marvel Studios' latest Avengers: Doomsday trailer brings heroes of multiple worlds together. The Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline is getting to the end of The Multiverse Saga, but this year, several iconic characters will be reunited through the next Avengers installment.
The latest Avengers: Doomsday trailer has finally revealed the next focus of the Phase 6 installment. This time, the spotlight is put on Wakanda and the Fantastic Four.
The players from the Avengers: Doomsday cast who are getting a moment to shine in the latest teaser are Shuri, a.k.a. the MCU's new Black Panther, along with M'Baku, as Letitia Wright and Winston Duke reprise their roles. The footage follows Shuri talking about how she's lost everyone important to her, before the trailer cuts to Namor and his kingdom.
In the new Avengers: Doomsday trailer, Tenoch Huerta's Namor is now donning a new costume, with his blue suit being adapted for live-action. Shuri's narration continues as she says, “A king has his duties to prepare our people for the afterlife. I have mine.”
Afterwards, M'Baku is seen meeting Ben Grimm, a.k.a. the Thing, as Ebon Moss-Bachrach's Fantastic Four hero introduces himself. Following a fun exchange, the teaser cuts to Shuri once more, seemingly getting ready to lead before it cuts to black, with the following words: "The Wakandans And The Fantastic Four Will Return In Avengers: Doomsday," before the same countdown from the previous three teasers shows up at the end.
In 2025's Thunderbolts*, the Fantastic Four ship was the big takeaway from the post-credits scene, as it was seen in space. The latest Avengers: Doomsday teaser raises the question of whether it's possible that their spacecraft ended up landing in Wakanda.
The fourth teaser is also very different in theme in comparison to the ones that have been shown. The first two focused on Chris Evans' Steve Rogers and Chris Hemsworth's returns, with fatherhood playing a key part, while the third one explored the X-Men in Avengers: Doomsday.
Avengers: Secret Wars is the next upcoming MCU movie for Marvel Studios to film, as the Russo brothers will kick off production this summer. There have been reports about a potential fifth teaser being shown for Avengers: Doomsday, but Marvel Studios has yet to confirm.
The fifth Avengers movie will not be the only release for Marvel Studios in 2026. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will debut on July 31, bringing Tom Holland's Peter Parker back into the franchise.
Avengers: Doomsday will be released in theaters on December 18.
