Final Destination Bloodlines made a triumphant debut in 2025, and it continues to win on the global streaming stage. According to FlixPatrol, the horror hit is among the top movies on streaming platforms such as HBO Max, Prime Video, and the Apple TV Store. The sixth film in the Final Destination franchise has found a major audience in countries such as Turkey, Estonia, and the United States, where it's among the most-watched movies on both international and local streaming platforms. This streaming success continues the movie's outstanding run.

While franchises get progressively worse with each sequel, the Final Destination franchise has both proven this true and false at different stages. While it wasn't a major horror hit like Scream, the franchise gained a global cult following, making it one of the most renowned horror franchises. Final Destination Bloodlines was released last year to wide acclaim from critics and viewers. With a 92% rating on the review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the film revived a franchise that had seemed to be on its deathbed. The film was also a box office success, making over $315 million on an estimated $25 million budget. Collider's Emma Kiely praised its ingenious deaths and ability to capture the Final Destination magic for longtime viewers. An excerpt from her review explains:

"If you don’t like horror movies, then don't go see this movie. This isn’t for you! This is for the Final Destination fans who’ve waited patiently for over a decade. It’s also for those who enjoy a ride of a movie that will raise and drop your heart rate multiple times over an hour and 47 minutes. With horror franchises constantly coming back from the dead, Bloodlines is one of the freshest we’ve seen in a while. It’s the perfect blend of going back to basics and cooking up something new, drenched in blood and snapping bones."

'Final Destination' Cheats Death Again

Newline Cinema was not going to let this momentum go to waste, so the studio greenlit another film. Details about Final Destination 7 have not been released yet, but it is reported that Michiel Blanchart is being considered for the director's chair. Lori Evans Taylor is set to write the screenplay. Craig Perry, Sheila Hannah Taylor, Jon Watts, Dianne McGunigle, and Toby Emmerich will return as executive producers.
