Even though it's only January, the best new anime character of the year is already here. There are a ton of top-tier characters on the way, but the best of the best is undoubtedly this Jujutsu Kaisen star. Season three of Jujutsu Kaisen is here, and it's finally bringing one of the best characters from the manga to the anime series.
Jujutsu Kaisen has cemented itself as one of the best shōnen series of the modern era, and somehow, it's only going to get better from here. The first two seasons of the series act as the first half, and the second half takes everything great about the franchise and heads to a whole new level.
Jujutsu Kaisen Has a Few of the Best Characters Ever, But...
There are a ton of characters in Jujutsu Kaisen who could vie for the number one spot already, and season three is going to bring even more of them to the anime. Satoru Gojo is already considered to be one of the most popular characters in anime, and while he's trapped in the Prison Realm, there's one character who is set to take the spotlight.
Yuta Okkotsu, Yuji Itadori, and especially Toji Fushiguro light up the screen every time that they're on it. They're some of the most interesting, well-rounded, devilishly exciting characters in the story, but even this monster trio has nothing on this new inductee to the anime.
... Kinji Hakari Is on Another Level
Kinji Hakari is excitement personified. Much like Satoru Gojo, he does what he wants, when he wants. He's a wildcard in every way, and he's strong enough to be a major factor in the series, even towards the latter end when it feels like every character is a Special Grade Sorcerer.
Season three of Jujutsu Kaisen is set to be the most brutal yet, even surpassing The Shibuya Incident arc as one of the most terrifyingly bleak in the series. While Hakari won't join until later in the season, he's going to be one of the best parts of it.
Hakari is another enigmatic character in Jujutsu Kaisen. Much like Yuta Okkotsu, he's spent the first two seasons off-screen. Also like Yuta, Hakari is one of the few characters in the entire series that Gojo says could surpass him. He's an incredibly powerful character with one of the strongest Cursed Techniques in Jujutsu Kaisen, and he'll be a major factor in the battles to come.
