Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce try out Beverly Hills hotspot from hit Netflix show as they step up wedding plans

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce stepped out for a loved-up date in Los Angeles on Monday night, trying out celebrity hotspot Funke in Beverly Hills, recently featured on a hit Netflix series. 

The pop superstar and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 36, were spotted enjoying the Italian eatery, a favorite among A-listers including Justin and Hailey Bieber.

The restaurant is owned by chef Evan Funke, known for his signature noodle dishes and recent appearance on Netflix’s Chef’s Table. 

The outing offered a rare glimpse into the couple’s romance as they ramp up wedding plans, even amid growing questions about Kelce's NFL future.

The pair have been inseparable since summer 2023, going public that fall with Swift cheering Kelce at Chiefs games while he returned the favor at her Eras Tour stops, culminating in a surprise engagement announcement in August 2025.

Despite Kansas City falling short of another Super Bowl and swirling retirement rumors - plus whispers of Hollywood projects - the couple seemed unfazed, enjoying a romantic night out as life-changing decisions loom.

The pair were spotted entering the restaurant with the Cardigan hitmaker wearing an oversized blazer, giving the impression she may have borrowed it from her sports star beau.

Keeping her blonde hair sleek and straight, Swift flashed a few smiles as she strutted into the Italian eatery, her long legs on full display in what appeared to be a white miniskirt.

Kelce followed closely behind, looking handsome in a brown short-sleeve shirt and wearing a pensive expression at times as he trailed his love.

Later, they exited discreetly, quickly jumping into a waiting black SUV before speeding off.

The romantic outing comes as Kelce faces the biggest decision of his career: retire from the NFL and step into a new chapter with Swift, or give one more shot at Super Bowl glory.

Fans are anxiously awaiting an official word from the Kansas City Chiefs and Kelce himself, but a source close to the tight end told Daily Mail that all options are still on the table - though a return for the 2026 season now looks likely.

'If he had to make a decision today, at this very moment, he'd come back,' the source said. 'But he will not know until a few weeks from now what he wants to do. 

'It is still very fresh, and it hasn't hit him officially on what he would like to do. He has to reason it with himself, talk to Taylor, his family. It is a process.'

Even if Kelce retires, the NFL star is expected to stay in the spotlight - potentially as an analyst. 

Kelce isn’t making this call alone - his mom Donna, 73, is sure to weigh in, per the insider. 

'She's the type who gives her opinion even when no one is asking,' a pal of Donna's told the Mail. 

But Donna is thrilled about the relationship and has kept her role small.

'When it comes to the wedding, the planning is all on Taylor and Travis, not on Donna,' a friend said. 'Honestly, she adores Taylor, and they get along really well.'

Kelce's Hollywood ambitions are also heating up as he explores opportunities outside of football. 

Sources told Page Six the couple attended Zooey Deschanel’s Christmas party on December 13, mingling with A-listers including White Lotus producer David Bernad.

Rumors suggest Kelce could star in his own TV series and is featured prominently in Swift’s End of an Era docuseries, with Netflix and other major studios reportedly in early talks.

On Christmas Day, following the Chiefs’ loss to the Denver Broncos, Kelce was asked about his retirement plans. 

'You know, that's a good question, man. I think I'm still searching for those answers. The way this one ended with a sour taste in my mouth. I feel motivated, but I got to make the right decision for me.'

He added, 'And I got to hope that if I do want to come back, the Chiefs are willing to bring me back. So, it's a two-way street on that. But at the same time, man, at this point in this year, I'm just trying to finish out and give Chiefs Kingdom everything that I've got and go out there and do it with some of that flair that you said I play with.' 

Meanwhile, Swift’s own mom has been a guiding force in their romance, with Taylor revealing how Andrea Swift and Kelce helped turn her luck around after she thought she’d never meet anyone again. 

The singer revealed in episode four of her docuseries The End of an Era that while the worldwide tour (March 2023–December 2024) kept her going, her personal life was anything but easy.

'There were points in this tour when the tour was really the only thing that was really keeping me going in my life,' Swift admitted.

'But there were never points in the tour where I thought, "Oh, you know what? I want to quit the tour ‘cause the tour’s hard." No, my personal life was hard,' she continued. 'I went through two breakups on the first half of this tour, and that’s a lot of breakups actually.'

Fans immediately pegged her comments as a nod to her split from British actor Joe Alwyn, 34, after more than six years together, and The 1975 frontman Matty Healy, whom she briefly dated after the Alwyn split.

She punctuated the revelation with a grin and a savage line: 'Men will let you down, the Eras Tour never will.' 

Even amid heartbreak, the tour unexpectedly set the stage for her relationship with now-fiancé Kelce. 

In the docuseries, Taylor explains how her mom spotted headlines from Kelce's New Heights podcast, in which the football star said he wanted to give Taylor a friendship bracelet with his number.

Andrea immediately called a cousin - the family’s 'resident expert on the Kansas City Chiefs' - who confirmed Kelce was 'the nicest guy' and genuinely devoted to his mom. 

Bells went off in Andrea’s head as she considered how to get her daughter to meet him.

Taylor recalled the conversation: 'So, you call me up with this tone of like, "Hey so I know you’re not going to react well to this. But there’s a guy…,"' with her mom cutting in, 'He’s really cute.' 

Taylor added, 'You said something to the effect of like you gotta start doing something different.'

She wrapped up the episode with a laugh: 'If you ever would have ever told me that the most meaningful relationship I would ever have would start with a man saying he was ‘butt hurt’ that I didn’t want to meet him, unbelievable.'

And if her love life or career takes a turn, Swift can always fall back on her baking skills - she handed out her famous sourdough at an after-party for BFF Estee Haim’s wedding.
