Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the death bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Xbox was recently outsold by a console you've probably never heard of. Xbox fan sites have started writing about PlayStation for the first time. 2025 was complete chaos for Xbox and Microsoft. But if we're going solely off of what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it's evident that the green gaming company still intends to draw people in with strong games on its flagship service.

The two games that are immediately available as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's worth getting excited about. On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. Another big get is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of horror and action."

But even the smaller games coming to Game Pass soon are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that's a blast to play, drops on Jan. 7th — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game. Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the makers of Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. The British post-apocalyptic game from last year might get its hooks in you in about 15 minutes flat. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

All in all, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, nor are they first-party juggernauts that justify the service in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are rock solid. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and new-ish games that didn't get the attention they deserved the first time around — which makes them perfect candidates to get a second chance on Game Pass.

You can see the full list of additions, alongside the games that will soon leave the service, here. Hope you're ready to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
