Trust has become a global streaming sensation. The 2025 survival thriller, which was released in theaters in August 2025, stars Sophie Turner, who is best known for her role as Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones, for which she received an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress in 2019.

Now, Trust ranks third on the Top 10 movies on Paramount+ worldwide for today, January 5, per FlixPatrol. It ranks below Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning and The Naked Gun (2025), and above The Stranger in My Home, High Ground, Night Hunter, The Last Gunfight, Humane, World War Z, and The Substance.

For this week, Trust is in the Top 10 on Paramount+ in 21 countries, located primarily in North America (Canada, Mexico), Central America, the Caribbean, South America, and two countries in Europe – Ireland and the United Kingdom. Though Trust isn't streaming on Paramount+ in the United States, it is available to rent/buy on Prime Video from $5.99.

Directed by Carlson Young (The Blazing World, Upgraded), with a script written by Gigi Levangie (Stepmom), Trust stars Sophie Turner as a Hollywood actress who retreats to an isolated cabin following a scandal, only to find herself betrayed and fighting for survival against the man she once trusted the most.

Other than Sophie Turner, the cast also includes Rhys Coiro (Entourage), Billy Campbell, Peter Mensah (Spartacus), Forrest Goodluck (The Revenant), Gianni Paolo (Power), Renata Vaca, and Katey Sagal (Married... with Children).

Despite its streaming success, Trust has received negative reviews from critics, resulting in a terrible 21% Rotten Tomatoes score, with critics calling it a messy and dull thriller with implausible twists, weak writing, plot holes, little suspense, and is often unintentionally funny. Sophie Turner's performance has received some praise, though most agree it can't save its squandered premise overall.

On the other hand, audience reactions to Trust are sharply divided, receiving a 53% score from that group, as viewers praise its tense atmosphere, Sophie Turner's performance, and entertaining date-night appeal – while others criticize its slow pacing, illogical character decisions, weak plotting, and laughable suspense. Audiences found it equally thrilling and memorable as they did sloppy, frustrating, and nonsensical.

Trust's streaming success comes shortly after its quiet theatrical release in August 2025, as it made only $368,186 at the box office. Whether driven by star power or sheer curiosity, Trust has clearly found a second life on streaming.
