Critics Choice Awards: Best Dressed Celebrities Throughout the Years
Game, set, match.
When it came time to attend the 2026 Critics Choice Awards—hosted by Chelsea Handler on Jan. 4—Hacks stars Megan Stalter and Paul W. Downs knew exactly where to draw their red carpet inspiration from: Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet.
In fact, the two actors copied the couple's recent all-orange looks for the LA premiere of Marty Supreme—down to the chunky cross necklace Kylie wore around her neck and the black, leather table tennis paddle case Timothée donned across his body. (See all the red carpet looks at the Critics Choice Awards—streaming on E! and USA Netowrk—here.)
But if you ask Megan and Paul, the apparent homage boils down to coincidence.
"I don't even know what this is," Megan innocently told E! News' Keltie Knight on the carpet, gesturing to her outfit. "My stylist just pulled it."
While Paul suggested the looks were borrowed from the A-list couple. "We borrowed," he said. "We're in production on season five right now of Hacks. So we didn't really have a lot of time to fit, to shop."
Though when asked if they called Timothée and Kylie up for the looks, Paul—who is nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series—quipped, "We don't want to name drop."
But while it's unlikely Timothée and Kylie will be redoing their epic, orange-everything looks—an homage to the color that has dominated the marketing for Marty Supreme—it is likely the couple will show up in equally showstopping looks at the Critics Choice awards.

After all, Timothée is nominated for Best Actor, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another, Joel Edgerton (Train Dreams), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), Michael B. Jordan (Sinners) and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent).
As for the inundation of orange throughout the Marty Supreme press tour, alongside stunts such as Timothée standing atop Las Vegas' Sphere?

“This is in the spirit of Marty,” Timothée told IndieWire in an interview published Dec. 19. “This is ultimately an original film at a time when original movies aren’t really put out. It’s a movie about the pursuit of a dream. I’m leaving it on the field. Whether it’s the merch or the Zoom or the media appearances, I’m trying to get this out in the biggest way possible.”
All of it—the orange Marty blimp, ping-pong ball-headed entourage and limited-edition windbreaker—is, as the Dune actor put it, “In the spirit of Marty Mauser.”
