Image via Quiver DistributionA cinematic obsessive with the filmic palate of a starving raccoon, Rob London will watch pretty much anything once. With a mind like a steel trap, he's an endless fount of movie and TV trivia, borne from a misspent youth of watching monster movies on TV, perusing the sun-faded goods at the local video rental shop, and staining his fingers with ink from the Video Movie Guide. Areas of interest include science fiction, film noir, horror flicks, '70s disaster pictures, Bond movies, '90s action, giant robots, dinosaurs, super heroes, and the exuberantly schlocky output of Cannon Films. He also enjoys both Star Trek and Star Wars when they're good, and maybe even more when they're bad. As a Canadian, he also has a vested interest in Canadian movies and TV shows, especially the cheesier ones dubbed "Canuxploitation."
An expert on Marvel Comics, he has also written for the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, and is a member of the Marvel Research Team. He can frequently be found pontificating on comic-book continuity or bemoaning the misfortunes of the Toronto Maple Leafs on his Twitter account.
High school turns into a deadly struggle for survival in the new psychological thriller Teacher's Pet. Collider has an exclusive look at the first trailer and poster for the film, which centers around a brutal battle of wills between teacher and student. The film will be released on digital and video-on-demand on February 6, 2026. In the trailer, Clara Simmons (Michelle Torian, The Demon Detective) is an aspiring young writer attending an exclusive prep school. When her beloved English teacher dies by suicide, Mr. Heller (Luke Barnett, For All Mankind) is brought in to replace him; Heller soon takes a shine to Clara, and takes her on as his teaching assistant.
She has a difficult home life, and is aspiring to earn a Yale scholarship to escape; it initially seems like Heller can help her out, but his intentions quickly prove to be far more sinister, as he develops an unhealthy fixation on his new protégé. He's a twisted psychopath with dark secrets in his past, and soon he becomes determined to destroy Clara...unless she can beat him at his own game. Who will prevail, and who will be sentenced to permanent detention? You'll have to see for yourself when Teacher's Pet hits home video next month, courtesy of Quiver Distribution.
