The Screen Actors Guild Awards - recently renamed The Actors Awards - have announced the nominations for the 2026 show.
On Wednesday, the list was revealed with some surprises on it.
One Battle After Another starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn and Benicio Del Toro landed the most nominations with a record-setting six.
The nominations for that movie were for acting ensemble, stunt ensemble, actor (DiCaprio), actress (Chase Infiniti), and supporting actress (Teyana Taylor) as well as two for supporting actor (Penn and Del Toro).
Outstanding Performance By A Female Actor in a Leading Role went to Jessie Buckley, Rose Byrne, Kate Hudson, Chase Infinity and Emma Stone.
Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor in a Leading Role went to Timothee Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ethan Hawke, Michael B Jordan and Jesse Plemons.
Jean Smart, Hacks, Ariana Grande, Adam Brody, Noah Wylie, Ted Danson, The White Lotus, Keri Russell, Seth Rogen, The Studio, Benicio Del Toro, Martin Short and Only Murders In The Building also received nods in other categories.
The 32nd annual nominations were announced by Abbott Elementary star Janelle James and Heated Rivalry star Connor Storrie on Netflix's YouTube Channel after an introduction by SAG-AFTRA president Sean Astin.
The Actor Awards ceremony will take place on March 1 in Los Angeles and stream live on Netflix. The host for the 2026 Actor Awards has yet to be announced; Kristen Bell hosted last year.
Harrison Ford will receive the 2026 SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award.
Presented by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and voted on by the guild's 160,000-plus members, the Actor Awards give an accurate window into what the largest branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences — the actors — is leaning toward in award season.

The annual ceremony that honors outstanding acting in film and television announced its name change from the Screen Actors Guild Awards to the Actor Awards on November 14, 2025.
Everything else about the celebration remains the same, including the statuette, which has always been named The Actor.
'We wanted to provide clearer recognition in terms of what the show is about for our domestic and global audiences,' Jon Brockett—showrunner and executive producer of the award show—and JoBeth Williams—chair of SAG-AFTRA's Awards Committee—shared in a joint announcement on November 14.
'We honor actors in film and television. Laser-focusing the name on those two things became the clearest and most straightforward path for this new chapter of the show.'

The logo and statuette has always been called 'The Actor,' and it felt like the right time to 'make the alignment official.'
However, there will be no change to the award show itself, which is still presented by SAG-AFTRA.
'Only the show name is changing. The foundation remains the same, it's actors honoring actors,' it was shared.
'Past winners and audiences included will still refer to their award and the show as the SAG Awards, and that's OK,' they explained. 'We know it'll take time to adjust to the change.
'Our goal is, and has always been, to bring greater clarity and global visibility to every performer the union represents,' they added, 'and we're confident the new name does exactly that.'
