RHONJ's Dolores Catania Is Engaged: Why Fiancé Paul Connell Proposed at an Apple Store
New year, new title for Gina Kirschenheiter.
The Real Housewives of Orange County star is officially a fiancée after getting engaged to her longtime love Travis Mullen on New Year’s Eve.
The engagement took place in Big Bear during the couple’s blended family celebration with her kids, Nick, 13, Sienna, 11, and Luca, 10—whom Gina shares with ex Matthew Kirschenheiter—and Travis’ kids Presley, 14, Bennett, 12, and Joey, 9, from a previous relationship.
And as the family prepped for their New Year’s Eve dinner, according to People, Travis asked Gina to step outside to help find a perfect spot for their group photo. To her surprise, the entrepreneur pulled out a 6-carat diamond ring and popped the question while Presley recorded the moment from a hidden spot nearby.
"I was in complete shock!" the 41-year-old told the outlet in an interview published Jan.7. "My nervous system was trying to catch up to what just happened in this magical moment and I was also trying to process the iceberg that was being presented to me as well! I of course said 'yes,' and melted into what was the sweetest kiss I’ve ever felt!"
Indeed, the news of the engagement added another layer to the family’s celebrations.
"The three of us hugged all teary-eyed and happy, and then walked back into the house where all the other kids were waiting and began to sound off their New Year's Eve horns and launch off confetti poppers!" Gina shared. "It was perfect! It meant so much to be there as a family celebrating all together. We were all so happy. Truly a pinnacle moment."

Gina began her relationship with Travis in 2019—a year after separating from Matthew—after being set up by a mutual friend and having an instant connection.
"We fell hard and fast,” the real estate agent told People. “We have navigated through some pretty intense issues that life has handed us already but it has only drawn us closer and made us stronger. He is truly my person and always has been. He was waiting in California for me."
Gina and Travis’ news was celebrated by her Real Housewives family, who took to her Jan. 7 Instagram post to show some love.
“So happy for you and the whole family!!!” Heather Dubrow wrote. “Very exciting.” Gretchen Rossi chimed in adding, “Ahh Congrats! Soo happy for you.”
As for franchise producer Andy Cohen, he added, “Love wins.”
