The Resident Evil franchise has always been ahead of the curve when it comes to offering ambitious visuals, and the latest Resident Evil Requiem keeps the trend alive in spades. While the footage we've seen so far already looks like some of the best fidelity we've seen from the series, a recent trailer demo is pushing Requiem to even greater heights.

Posted on the GeForce YouTube channel, NVIDIA showcased what both its 4K ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS 4 will look like within Resident Evil Requiem with the maximum settings available on PC. Although some of these features will be limited for use on higher-end models of NVIDIA GPUs, the trailer is nonetheless an impressive display of what Requiem will look like on release, while teasing new gameplay footage that we haven't seen before.

Resident Evil 9 Looks Absolutely Stunning

The horrifying atmosphere and environmental ambience have always been a core part of the Resident Evil experience for decades at this point, making the visual fidelity of Requiem's latest NVIDIA demo all the more exciting. While you'll still have to wait until later in the month to potentially play as Leon in Requiem's upcoming gameplay demo, seeing Resident Evil's visuals cranked to 10 is still a stunning sight to see.

Thankfully, even if you're playing on consoles or don't have the hardware to take full advantage of NVIDIA's next-generation offerings, Requiem's latest gameplay footage showing off lively city streets and the dimly lit halls of the RPD still looks impressive even without the bells and whistles of RTX and DLSS.

Notably, the Switch 2 is also capable of utilizing DLSS and FSR technology to upscale its games, so the port to Nintendo's mobile system is also likely to provide a fantastic visual experience.

You can find no shortage of fans excited over Requiem's latest NVIDIA trailer for the impressive visuals and next-generation software on display, and fans like RGisOnline are happily "just here to see 10 seconds of new gameplay."

However, not everyone has been as optimistic. The astronomical prices of NVIDIA's latest 5000 series of GPUs and the lack of transparency over the proposed FPS counter shown in the trailer are giving some fans pause, as getting the game to run as well as it does in the trailer could be tough.

Regardless, it's exciting to see a whole new side of the Resident Evil world in the gameplay footage, as Grace walks through busy city streets in a real city that isn't being beset by an apocalyptic event. Even if this segment is only teasing a limited prologue, seeing the sheer detail displayed in Resident Evil Requiem's living world is a fantastic treat ahead of release.
